Yes you can use member items in free places if you are a member so you don't have to buy rune items! I think you misunderstood someone..

The last time i looked Member items are none effective in f2p. I checked about 4 hours ago lol.

yeah a nice bronze long sword does more damage in free worlds than a dragon longsword 8)
