I think they should make it so that only you can see your arrows, this would remove the problem of arrow thieves. I was killing blue drags and a noob comes along and takes all my arrows, then has the brass neck to charge me dragon hides for them! I hate them!

Would making it so that only you can see arrows be better? I think it would.

well, i am a noobish f2p ranger (lvl 40 lol), buy i agree. It would be alot better... I hate when i am killing lessers and someone simply steals my arrows .
This idea was commented in the official runescape forums too, but jagex did nothing about it.

this is a problem, and i feel sorry for people who lose lots of high-valued arrows....

BUT!

...there is method in the madness!!!
you should NOT be leveling ranged on anything that is too high. for example, it is taking you too long to kill a lesser if the arrows are appearing for another person. im level 50-odd, and i train on zombys over the river in varrock sewers :) . jagex do this so level 30s arent ranging lessers, when they should be ranging dark wizards or guards! whats the point in fighting a level 82 with 50- ranged for TRAINING? its also the same for melee, i train on nothing greater than mountain trolls (level 69) and i go up real quick cos there defence isnt too high. otherwise i just hit 0 0 0 0 0 0 on high lvls, but on troll (eg for melee), its 21, 19, 22....

But you want to train on something higher than you, it is a challenge and make runescape more fun, mossies drop nothing good, but dragons do. I really don't care if a level 30 ranger is killing blue dragons, as long as he's the only one there I really couldn't care less.

but that isnt training as such, to be honest. if your ranging dragons, your hoping for drops. i see training combat as leveling up in the fastest way possible. hitting 0 0 0 0 on dragon is just not good training, to train you want to train on a low defence monster, on which you will hit often

Maybe they should make it so you need 60 range to kill a dragon then? 0 0 0 0 would be pointless, but I dont usually hit 0, my average is about 4-5.

I´m kinda crazy, but i train on high lvl monsters for both fun and hitpoints xp. High lvl ones gves more xp. I really dont like to train on low lvl ones. And, at least, f2p arrows are cheap. I can lose some arrows, but not that much. They are not so expensive....

The arrows stealers are a problem for both f2p and p2p, but mostly for p2p. Arrows stealers are annoying for everyone and it should be changed.

My average hits against a lesser is 4. And it would be nonsense putting a minimium lvl to kill monsters. You can try if you want. You can kill if you try.

I dont like that idea where you can only see your arrows! If they do they should allow mages to pick of their runes.

just to clarify, experience in ranged is 4*your hit, so i fyou hit a 7 , you get 28xp. this DOESNT vary for the monster. so a 7 on a scorpion and a 7 on the lesser both give 28xp. And on scorps you will hit more, and more often

Yes, but mages can't pick up their runes, but you can pick up your own arrows.

Yes but rangers should never be able to only see their arrows!
