Would you consider a pickaxe a weapon?

A friend and I were discussing the new update this month, how there is gonna be a new dragon weapon. Well, he said it was definitely the 2h but I said it could also be the pickaxe. He was like "No no, a pick isn't a wep!"

Well, when we tried to convince each other he kept bringing up that you dont need to weild a cannon and its a wep. Well, a pick isnt really a rnaged wep is it..

So what do you think?

How is a pickaxe not a weapon?.....

Anything you can do damage with is a weapon, weild it or not.

You can attack with it, it's a weapon.

it's an impaling weapon. not smart to use with plate armor since it could get stuck easily, chain is better, not so good with stab

I wonder who choose that the pickaxe isn't a weapon :roll:

But since you can equip it as a weapon I would call it a weapon. (plus what the others say you can hurt people with it...)

Yeah, it may have EXTREMELY sucky stats but yeah its considered a weapon

The thing is, it's made to be used for mining, no one seriusly expects you to use it as a weapon so when jagex says a new weapon is being brought out i very much doubt they meant a pick axe they would of just refered to it as a new dragon item.

technically ANYTHING is a weapon in this world - even a creme egg - shove it down someones through whole without chewing and theyre buggered :lol:

I voted no.

I think the pick is a weapon enough to fend off giant scorps in the drawven mine, but not weapon enough to train with. Thats what a longsword is for.
