left half drop

what is best for a left half drop i have 60 slayer 100 combat

I got my left half from a Shadow Warrior. Then I got §¢âmmêd. ARGH.

First of all Left half is not an easy drop to get no matter which monster you fight.
I think Fire Giants have a good chance and aren't too bad food and training wise, you can always kill shadow warriors won't need food with 100 comat, or you can range or hally greater demons from cage in Yanille Dungeon.

The left side of the shield is one of the rarest drops in the game. There isn't really a best monster to get it from that you can kill by yourself. You might have a better chance from the KQ but you need a team to kill it. If you choose one monster and stick with it you might get it within a week or within a year, its completly random.

I remember back when the legends quest and the shield halves all came out people were getting them like crazy from 54 skeletons. (Now 45 skeletons) I trained 10 combat levels there, probably killed around 40k skeletons and I never even got 1 half key. I was using a ring of wealth also. You just have to have a lot of patience.

Mine was a completely random drop... if I were you I would probably just range Fire Giants, then you also have a chance of getting a Dragon Med.

Shadow Warriors just apparently have a higher chance of dropping half keys and Left Half Shields. I have got several half keys from them in my time.

I suggest KBD, I'm pretty sure you can solo it a couple of times.
I myself have extremely bad luck with drops.

And if the KBD seems to overwhelming, try Hallying Black Dragons in Edgeville Dungeon. They give pretty good drops, although best I have got is a Rune Long, I have only killed a few, because they take ages with a Hally. If you get bored of Hallying, take Ranged Equipment as well. If you are a good ranger that is, or you will hit hardly antyhing. Don't forget your Anti-Dragon Shield, though, or when you run to get the drop, it could be the difference between life and the Reaper. :shock:

The KBD wouldn't be good. It is somewhat hard to solo, even at lvl 100. Also if you do solo it you can probably only kill it about 3 to 5 times a trip. That would take ages to get a shield half.

Like I said before, there is no perfect monster for getting the shield half, you just have to be lucky.

One tip - don't sit and hope for a left half. If you're at fire giants, hope for rune scims, half keys etc. It'll end in less dissapointment.

well i can tell u, my friend just got 2 half shields off shadow warriors in two days! maybe thats just his luck phenomonenly grown from what it was (cant spell) or its got high drop rate, but i dunno, i hvnt witnessed any dragon drops lol XD

I got one from a shadow warrior. I was not expecting it at all. My advice would be to just stop trying and train slayer as usual.

mmm, yeah u do earn a lot of money from slayer anyway... besides u get more xp, and more range of things that can be looted.

Remember, there is no real ratio for a Left Half Shield, they drop on pretty much any monster. Shadow Warriors are the only thing that have a higher chance of getting Half Keys and Half Shields, so you have the same chance of getting a Half Shield from the KBD as getting one from... A Lesser Demon.

If I was killing the KBD anyway, I'd hope for a Dragon Chain.

But if I were you, I'd just kill Fire Giants, then you also have a chance of getting a Dragon Med.
