what the hell is up with the friends list

every time i log on it takes like 20 min 4 my friends list to load any 1 havin this to?

iam on high speed and it only takes it 4 me like not even a min
but now its takein like 20 min whats up with that?

Just latley it has been happeneing to me but it only lasts about a minute and only when I log on to world 2 or any other crowded world. I think its just a matter of lag. You just have to wait it out or mabye try playing on a different server and see if the same thing happens. It also might have something to do with the amount of people you have on your friends list. if you have many people on there that you don't even talk to, delete them and it will load a bit faster.

I got the problem since they had that power failure a couple of days ago. It takes me about 15 minutes to load my friendlist

My clan and I were on KBD trip and mst of us where having problems with friend list. Its a problem with runescape..not your computer...

i have like 20 ppl on my list so i dont think that would do it...or would it?

We've also beein having problems at some events and or just playing runescape... hopefully it will be fixed.

it might be from the poweroutage they had liek a week ago

Not with only twenty people. It is something with runescape.

i was on world 36 with 1900 ppl.. went to a world with only 1100 ppl its workin good now

Many people are wondering of this.

I have a theory about what's happening, which has all to do with the servers.

Basically, I think it's because of the recent power failures that Jagex has been having on the servers. Now there are two possible reasons why this is happening.

1. A lot of servers are down, so many more people are on each world them normally. This would also explain why F2p worlds have a worse predicament on their hands then most p2p worlds, due the the fact the f2p worlds are always full, while *most* p2p worlds are fairly quiet (compared to f2p :lol:

).

2. Jagex somehow is hosting the "Friends List" and the "Ignore List" on a completely seperate server, and due the the power failures, the certain server is very slow or damaged in some way, which means the actual RuneScape game itself is working fine on each server, but the lists are down.
