i agree- i died once at fishing (river troll) so i went back and offered to buy all the stuff for twice the price- everyone said no i want 4 times, nand someone thried to sell me a lobster 200k :evil:

Those people just are selfish and dont have a life.
I had an entire arrow-thieving clan around me when I was killing blue dragons once, They did it to get me away from "their" dragons, but I resisted by saying the arrows dont bother me.
Then they just went away :twisted:

RS2 Beta only started around a year ago? 'Didn't notice.

Anyways, Runescape has always had these kinds of peoples (hackers, scammers, spammers), and Runescape always will.

even when i started last year it wasnt as bad as it is now! when i started out noone called me a "noob" because i didnt understand the game, just gave me free stuff! and i didnt ask for it they gave out of kindness! it pretty much as opposite as you can get now...

the problem is scammers make scamming accounts. if they get an account, use it to scam more. they'll dump all the stuff they steal to their precious account. solution: there should be a restrict ip access for accounts and ip bans.

jagex doesn't attend to f2p complaints unless you're paying. but jagex got a policy of not returning stolen stuff even if they can logon to the thief's account and return it to you. reason: will be abused.

so if you got hacked or scammed, you won't get it back even if you're a member. if you report the scammer, he/she gets banned but he/she passed on the item to a main account. so they don't really care because they can create a new account.

yeah- you even see scammers using high level accounts theyve stolen nowadays! i saw a lvl 85 advertising an obvious password stealing website!
