Good, only been waiting 5 months to get my blackmarks removed and my membership refunded...
"A decent number of people in support roles had been laid off from the company."

That's funny. There CS was garbage in the first place. Why do you guys still buy this BS about stopping RWT and bots? Seriously they've played that card like 5 times now. Everytime they play it they conveniently add on a new way to get more of your cash.

The last "idea" didn't work and this wont either. It's not bettering the game it's just filling there pockets. Another revenue stream so they can continue pushing out....alright so i went to there website to find the latest actual content update and it's just **** I'm having to go to the next page of news to get an actual update...jesus. What are you paying for? WTF so I'm in august and theres still no actual game updates unless you count there crap achievement system? Lots of ******* about wheel of fortune and some solodude store. Only 42k people playing on a saturday evening. Used to be close to 300k i suppose they was all evil bots. :-%

Remember, the purchase of bonds, Spins, and RuneCoins goes to fund the future of RuneScape! Buy more to help support your favorite FREE "Massively" Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

Oh, BTW only about 2/3rds of that 42k are EOC >.>

Back on topic, looks like BnB is split about 2:1 about bonds.

I think it'd be interesting to have a poll:
Would you buy bonds?
Yes, with Real Cash.
Yes, but only with GP.
Nope.

Creepy, your linking of an article that announces layoffs and then say Jagex is "just filling their pockets" are not correlative. Layoffs happen for a number of reasons, and while financial are normally major factors, it doesn't always have to be the case. Perhaps the consultations proved that they didn't need so many support employees, or there was too many people for the amount of work. With botwatch working better than ever, a reduction in support issues could have happened to the point where less workers are needed.

That article also links to other layoffs months prior in Jagex. One was regarding some workers leaving the Transformers Universe team and another where some working on "future products" that were no longer worth supporting. The article later states most of those were relocated withing Jagex...so how that counts as layoffs I'm not sure.

My point is, you can't judge "layoffs" as failure to being able to support that many workers.

And since I've played this game, I don't believe there were ever 300,000 players playing at once...

I never claimed there was 300k. I said close to. I been playing a long time brudda. Might be wrong though. Definitely between 200k-300k. Doesn't really matter. HUGEEEE drop in numbers whatever way you want to spin it. Which is surprising cause they keep saying all these updates are for the greater good and are making the game a better more fun experiance. Seems people disagree. I can't even log in to check for myself cause some dudes running around on it botting lol

Oh and i never said they got layed off cause jagex was broke. I just posted a link. It's more likely they got layed off cause they sucked.

After a year away, just got back into this game a few days ago and yet to see more then 60k people online at a time.
The world I play on only ever has a few hundred people. Like a ghost world.

I'm not for or against bonds, as I will never buy them myself, whatever they can do to continue to fight bots is ok with me but...
Only really stops a certain type of bot, there will always be the level grinding bots which honestly **** me off even more then the gold farmers.
Just a grumpy stubborn pessimist whom use to have pride in his levels.
