I think Jagex made the game more worse than the real-world traders did. If you disagree, prove it. I don't think these changes were necessary because it's a slap in the face for Jagex and caused many to quit, including myself. I don't think RuneScape is ruined because I do believe the players will adapt to the changes.

Prove it, eh? Alrighty then.

CONS TO UPDATE:
- Restricted trading
- No 'borrowing' items anymore
- No drop-trading to mains and other primary trained accounts
- No more drop parties

PROS TO UPDATE:
- Killed every reason to "hack" characters, making it more safe
- No more real-life trading, meaning no more insanely rich newbies
- Greater wealth truly means greater respect now
- More of a challenge to succeed, just like RSC, which too was highly missed
- Chopping yews and mining coal will now be more worthwhile from future price increases, meaning it will be easier now to make money for such work
- No more scamming, even from unknown pricing - everyone knows what something it worth and can find out now
- Jagex made the change overnight, they can change it back whenever they want to.

7 > 4. Thus it is proven.

Oh, and you just contradicted yourself.

I fixed it up a bit, in regards to how it affected me. In my opinion, the game will seem to be less enjoyable than it was before with the active real-world traders. I am not saying it will be for sure, but I'm sticking with what I believe.

For you it may be different...

CONS TO UPDATE:
1 Restricted trading
2 No 'borrowing' items anymore
3 No drop-trading to mains and other primary trained accounts
4 No more drop parties
5 No more decent merchanting
6 No more loots from PKing

As CreepyPirate stated:

-World 66 law running, due to this new limit you CANNOT trade over your supplies.
-Drop trading to newb accounts i don't care if it was illegal, there both my bloody accounts i should be allowed to do it.
-God wars, Kalphite queen, Moles thingys, and any other big boss that drops decent stuff is now wrecked because no one wants to get lucky with the lootshare.
- Clans are dead. They can't do pk run ins, all they can do is war and that's got no returning, they don't lose items. Ruined, clans are going to die big time.
- Drop partys, enjoy rsbandb christmas one. There wont be another cause jagex think's making banks declare it so every moron in the world shows up is a good idea.
- Pking. Dead. Apparently you can't bring water runes in to hybrid in the bounty hunter area, wtf?
- Aiding each other will skills whats the cap on the aid thing? Not high enough for any high level that wants a friend to assist.

PROS TO UPDATE:
1 No more hacking
2 Greater wealth truly means greater respect now
3 More of a challenge
4 No more macros; more resources and stable price.
5 No more scamming
- Jagex made the change overnight, they can change it back whenever they want to. (Okay, but that isn't a benefit I gain from these updates)
- No more real-life trading, meaning no more insanely rich newbies (Yeah, even though that doesn't affect me one bit)

As I said before, in your perspective it may be different. This is how the recent updates affected me and how I view it.

I know this doesn't affect the gameplay, but what about what Runescape taught us?

You used to actually learn a lot from Trading. Like how that if you buy in bulk, you may be spending more money, but the cost per unit would be less. Or how about that by providing a raw product and a little money, you could get the finished product without wasting time. And by taking time to find sellers with a lower price, you could later sell the product for more, making a profit.

Not that it affects the game, but we actually learned how business works. Say hello to a stupider population of players.

Um, am I the only one here that's not actually affected by any of these updates, on account of that I hardly trade, merchant, or PK?
I'm unaffected by this except for the fact that I can't give gifts or have a drop party anymore.
