On a couple of occasions while woodcutting I've had some obnoxious people trying to get me to talk and whatnot (which is common but I shall continue) and I've bothered to talk to them. They still can't help but insult me for a while but by the time they leave they're actually sounding nice. It's also funny what kind of impact one can have on those little people - some of them actually start using full words instead of shorthands after a while of talking.
Anyway that's going off topic a bit I guess.
Back on the topic, the whole issue is just childish. If you do really have a problem with someone though, use the ignore list, otherwise just literally ignore them, walk away if possible, you know how it goes. I'm personally quite a fan of conventional ignoring; there's no one on my ignore list.
