Jagex has always neglected high levels, they've always neglected long term dedicated players as well.
They'd rather impress the idiots that play for two weeks get to level 80 and quit.
Why would they intentionally strive to please people who play for a full two weeks before quitting? Where's the profit in that?
Higher-level updates are less frecuent and farther apart... why? Because there are less higher levels than lower levels, so they please the masses the most, before making an update that only a smaller percentage of the population can do.
Do you want them to release a minigame that 9/10 of the game's players can't play? How does this help them?
And when Jagex releases things that higher levels can do, like skills (such as farming and construction), many opt not to because it isn't combat related... and many higher levels neglect other skills and soley train combat, which is why they became higher level in the first place (because that's all they did) [of course, this doesn't apply to you, Creepy]
As far as skilling goes, I'm pleased with the skills since RS2 has been released. All of them have been original and differ from the simple 'click and click and click' method.
Runecrafting
Slayer
Farming
Construction
But I still would like to see more complex skills added into the game.
