Accomplishment Capes for collectors

thats a pretty good idea i think like really buy somthin thats liek what 10m or so and u cant even show u have it lol

Bad idea I think.. The person could always trade away the rare while wearing the cape first of all, and secondly I doubt Jagex would even consider it seeing as though the only thing they've done for rare so far is make them untradable and give them a seperate forum..

Everyone is saying that it is a bad idea because you can just trade it away, but what if disappears after you try to wear it then? Just like frog outfits change with you if you change gender.

I personally think this is a terrible idea. The capes will look awful, and no-one will want to wear them.

And like Agent Waffles said, Jagex wont favour rares.

Also, think about this:

If you have a fire cape, people think 'Wow, he's beaten the Tz-Tok Jad. He must be pretty good.'

If you have a rare, people will either think:

'Wow, he has a lot of money.'

Or...

'That person is an idiot. What kind of moron wastes their money on rares?'

I agree. Capes are ment to show achiviements.

Not: Existing for a long time
Being very rich
Getting lucky at a drop party... (not what it sounds like)

Cape is a kind of trophy like

Legend cape - For done legend quest

Fire cape - For beated lvl 702

Blue cape - For done Drag slayer

Begin an old rs player is not an acheivement...

Sounds good to me - at the moment, people who've spent however much (forgive me, I don't play RS much nowadays, so I'm kind of out of touch with the current prices) for a disc of returning or pumpkin can't display their wealth. I think it would be nice if they can, and capes seem a good way to do that

It would somewhat be a good idea, and somewhat not. For one, most people would not want to wear a pumpkin cape or stuff like that around. Really, the only good use for a pumpkin cape would be to wear on halloween, otherwise, it would just look very weird. I cannot say I support this suggestion.

making the cape dissapear when you trade the rare would make the whole idea a little extensive to deal with. jagex doesnt reall keep the rare marke in high regard anyway, seeing as all rares alch for little to no gold anyway, so why would they update something they dont care that much about?
