If there is, i really want to know because then i will totally be on for December 31st and January 1st

There hasn't been anything in the past. There isn't anything announced, either.

There is the big update they were talking about which would be released really soon in the new year, and if the big update isn't summoning, it could possibly be released on new years eve/day, but I doubt it.
