2007Scape Thoughts?

Now that the results are in, Jagex decides to change their rules, for at least 6 months RS 07 is NO EXTRA CHARGE.
It is nice to see people back in the game again, but the spit community keeps my clan quiet.

Hmmm, offering it free even though it fell over 50,000 votes short? Are they going to offer those of us who purchased a 1 year membership a refund? Mod Mark promised no affect to the current game, yet already the major quest of the month.. the one that had left him speechless... has been delayed for the 07 servers. I always laughed at people predicting the end of this game, however I feel now they may just be justified. For the first time ever, I have googled other games to see what is on offer

You purchased a one year membership to 2007Scape? I didn't know that was an option.

You paid for one year of membership to Runescape. 2007Scape is a perk of being a member. They don't owe you a refund.

As for the quest, it's a moot point. I guarantee you the Devs appreciated the extra time. Would you rather a forced release of a buggy World Wakes, or a delayed release of a non-buggy one?

I don't really want a refund, I was simply putting forward a point that they promised the 07 release would not affect the current game, yet we have already seen that happen. I play the game for the enjoyment of it, yet this has had a detrimental affect across the game. I was asking that since the game has been compromised and they have gone back on their word, would they offer it? I know they won't and I wouldn't apply for one even if they did, I was simply putting forward a point. My son has already quit the game because he was attacked by a couple of players because he wouldn't vote for it. He said it wasn't fun that they spoke to him like that just because he didn't vote. I purchased him a 3 month membership just 2 weeks before this was released and I am sure he is not the only player who has left because of it. It is a matter of opinion and it has seriously divided the community

Well we have RS07 for 6 mths without extra cost. I like it, I feel like a Pioneer again but the main thing I like is the number of people it has brought back.

Those people who have returned have benefited the EOC-RS because they had to pay ordinary members fees to even try it out. Yes it will die back after the initial nostalgia period but it provides an alternative for those who had left RS and those who were seriously considering leaving, for whatever reasons.

To say it's splitting the community, my view is that it's a bit like someone saying to me:
"I like football so you must like it as well, but you are not allowed to like rugby, and (so help me) you are not allowed to like both."
