the "regarding your runescape account" email

i got a scam like this the other day aswel form a jagex@runescape.com or soemthing liek that ill post pics of the message later when im back at home
(schools blocked msn.co.uk but no any other sites lol)it was saying would i like to join an easter event with a link and itd send you to a link like the login to change passes and go on ther forum etc but when you eneter anything it says you are now enetred in our april and may event(of course i typed in gibberish to check i think i put in jombalia n the pass was random leters)

People have contacted me on msn with names like andrew@jagex.com. Saying they need my password. I just swear at them lots ^.^ then block them

Ah well. The random easter thing actually seemed legit, with the email addy. The others weren't, but that one actually looked legit. What was the link for the "runescape.com" thingomobob?

How do they know the e-mail of people who play Runescape? I suppose they probably go to fansites like this...

I'd also like to add that Jagex has stated tons of times that they will never use e-mail and will only use their message center to contact you. If one were to fall for this, I would say they would have to be like 10 years old. Good thing I didn't get this e-mail back when I started... :lol:

One of my rs friends is 10 and he wouldn't fall for this
