Tzhaar fight cave

I've been reading some guides about the Tzhaar fight cave and some of them say to use mage or range or wear full guthan or whatever they said. Why not just use full dragon and only use melee? I mean what if you don't train your magic or range stats?

first are you talking about to get the fire cape or just the fight pit.

if your talking about the fight cave to get the fire cape which i think u are people are just saying that range and mage is best in that area and they suggest doing that which i agree with

You can't melee your way through it. Impossible. The lvl 702 will kill you. You use guthan to drain the health from the weaker cretures to save your food without it i'd image it will be a lot harder to do. And if you don't train magic or range you're a bit stuck. It's a challenge to test the BEST combat people. That means they need to be good with every combat stat.

If you use pure melee, you will run out of food before you get to the 702. I have complete the Tzhaar fight cave 3 times and throughout all of my 10 tries, I have found that pure range works best.

I will probably be writing a guide on the mini game soon, because there are so many misleading ones out there.

not exactly some rich nub level 87 in world 2 said he did it with guthan and 95 range....

yea about the only way to get thru the cave is with good ranged, prayer, hitpoints, and defense skillz. oand even then it's still a tough fight.
lower lvls will definatly need guthans or they wont last long enough to see the boss, let alone fight it.
