Jagex imersonation and password scamming

Firstly change your private chat to friends only.

Next you have to bear in mind that Jagex will never ask for your password, that includes the mods.

Do not give your password to any of these, it's obviously a wind up. :(
Just keep your private chat on friends and you'll be ok. You won't get random people claming to be Jagex staff messaging you.

but i got more friends that i can accomodate. if i set my private chat to friends only, then there is no way i will know that a friend that i removed to accomodate another is on.

having chat on is not an invitation to message someone, pass scammers thinks that logging out will save them. the snapshot is also taken from the one who reported them.
