A strange plant story

Today i was training with the fire giants in the waterfall when a strange plant apeared. I didn't pick the fruit and he attacked me. He poisened me, but i had anti potion with me and i was fighting him with my halberd. I was standing behind a chair so he couldn't hit me. I was fighting for about 10-15 minutes and he had 3/4 of his hp left and in one moment he disapeared :S. He just left the combat and was away. Why did he disapear into nothing? I wanted to kill him

For most random event things, you have to melee them to death. If you dont, they'll disappear on you, kinda like that strange plant.

Thats strange. I have never seen a strange plant dis-appear while fighting it.

If it can't hit you, it'll surely disappear. Same with ranging, if it can't hit you, it'll just go way.

But was hitting him the whole time. So we were in combat.

I saw this guy melee one close up in catherby once and the same thing happened, he got it down to 1/2 health and it just disapeared.

People kept dropping fish under him so he could eat, and he couldn't finish it cause it just disappeared.

I had that happen once..I was fighting a plant for fun in a bank and I got it to like half health then it just disappeared...wasted all that food and antipoisons for nothing. :cry:

Well it's kinda obvious. The plants disappear when they can't hit you-They disappear when they're idle for a moment, like when you run away, its the same.

I killed a strange plant once, they drop nothing..

yup vengeance is right,they drop nothing I killed one with close iban blasts (not behind something)

BTW: they got tones of hp
