Quest: Lunar Diplomacy

Difficulty: Medium

Length: Long

Items needed: Optional teleports to reduce walking time, about 1000 GP, Air Tiara/Talisman, Fire Tiara/Talisman, Water Tiara/Talisman, Earth Tiara/Talisman, Guam Leaf, Marrentill, an axe (better than bronze recommended), Suqah Teeth and four Suqah hides (gotten during the quest), Needle, Thread, Hammer, Pickaxe, Spade, Pestle and Mortar, Tinderbox, Dramen Staff

Requirements: Level 65 Magic, Level 40 Defense, Level 5 Herblore, Level 60 Mining, Level 61 Crafting, Level 55 Woodcutting, Level 49 Firemaking, Must have completed the Fremennik Trials quest, Must have completed the Lost City quest, Must have completed the Shilo Village quest, and must have completed the Rune Mysteries quest

Where to start: Speak with Lokar at the docks west of Rellekka

Reward: 2 QP, 5K Magic and RuneCrafting XP, 50 Astral runes, Lunar Spell Book and the ability to craft Astral Runes

1. Talk to Lokar to begin the quest (located on the dock west of Rellekka).

There will be a relatively long dialogue about how he left being a Fremennik, came back, yada yada, then they talk about how the Fremenniks and the Moon Clan have been at war for centuries. Now you have to “act” like you want to stop them. Oh, joy.

2. Now go to Brundt the Chieftain. He will give you the Seal of Passage (ALWAYS KEEP THIS WITH YOU!!!!)

3. Return to Lokar. He will take you to the Pirates’ Cove. Go up the ladder right in front of you, and then go up the other one and cross the plank to get on the ship. Talk to Captain Bentley.

4. While talking with him, you will come across a few options. I just went straight to Lunar Isle, but you can explore the other options if you like. Once sailing, your boat will just circle the cove..great sailing, eh? Speak to Bentley again, he will tell you to speak with Jack. Go below deck and speak with Jack.

5. You’ll get into an argument with him. Great. Go back up to Captain Bentley. Say it was the navigator’s fault, and he will tell you to go back to Jack. Ugh. After another amusing dialogue with Jack, he concludes it was magic and a jinx that made the ship do that, and calls you the candidate.

6. Return to the deck Captain Bentley is on, but now go all the way north on it, and speak with Eagle Eye Shultz.

He’ll go on to explain jinxes to you. Someone must have gotten a jinx placed on them at the Moon Clan feast, he says. Go speak to Beefy Burns (to get to him, go down on the deck Jack is on, then at the north end of that deck go down the ladder. Beefy Burns is on the south end of that floor)

7. Speak with him and get info about the feast.

8. Return to the deck Captain Bentley is on, and go up the ladder at the south end of the ship. Once up there, speak with Lecherous Lee.

9. Go back down the ladder, then in the southern cabin of the ship speak with First Mate Davey-boy. Go back up to where Lecherous Lee is and speak with the cabin boy.

10. He will confess to being tricked by a girl from the Moon Clan. He will give you a lantern and emerald lens. Use the lens on the lantern then use the tinderbox with the lantern.

11. Go find all the symbols and rub them out. They are located here:

12. Yay, the jinx is gone! Now talk to Captain Bentley and sail to Lunar Isle. When you arrive, proceed down the ladders to the Island. There is a bank here so if you forgot anything, get it.

13. When you enter the city a cut scene starts, let it play through. Get supplies from the bank if you don’t have them. Run all the way southeast, past the Level 111 Suqahs and speak with Oneiromancer. She is next to the Astral Rune altar.

14. After the conversation with Oneiromancer is over, go north and find the..chicken house. Once you find it, enter and talk to Baba Yaga. Tell her the Oneiromancer sent you, and she will give you a special vial for making the Waking Potion. Go outside the house, now, and kill Suqahs til you get a tooth. Use the tooth with the pestle and mortar to get the ground Suqah tooth. If you don’t already have a Guam and Marrentill, kill Suqahs, they drop them as well. Use the empty vial on a water source, and then use the ingredients on the vial. You need to add the herbs first.

15. After making the potion head back to Oneiromancer. She will take the potion from you. Now head to the Air, Fire, Water, and Earth altars with your Dramen staff (in that order). Use the staff on the altars. Once you’re done and you have the Lunar Staff, head back to the Oneiromancer. (You can return by talking to Lokar then talking to Captain Bentley)

16. Now, for the parts of your suit:

The helm: Go to the northeast corner of the island. You will see a dungeon symbol (!) on the mini map.

Go down that, then find a stalagmite and mine it for a Lunar ore. Smelt (or super heat, doesn’t matter which) the ore into a Lunar bar. Smith it on an anvil to make the helmet.

The cape: Speak with Paulina Polaris in the western side of the town. She’ll ask you to pick her real name. Obviously, choose Pauline the first go. She’ll give you a clue to what her real name is. Pick “Jane Blud-Hagic-Maid”.

The amulet: Speak to Meteora, in the southern part of the city. Off topic, she talks like an idiot. She says she uses the amulet as a replacement for her lucky tiara. A Suqah “nicked it.” Go kill Suqahs til one drops a tiara. Return to Meteora to get the amulet.

The torso: Get a Suqah hide (by killing a Level 111 Suqah, you may need armor and food for this) and talk to Rimae Sirsalis in the clothes shop. She will tan the hide for you. Use a needle on the tanned hide to make the torso (with thread in your inventory).

The trousers: Get a Suqah hide (by killing a Level 111 Suqah, you may need armor and food for this) and talk to Rimae Sirsalis in the clothes shop. She will tan the hide for you. Use a needle on the tanned hide to make the trousers (with thread in your inventory).

The ring: Speak with Selene, located just west of the bank.

She will give you a hint for where you can dig up the ring because her grandfather buried it. Go towards the Astral altar, but take a turn west and go til you see a bridge. Dig here for the ring:

17. After you have all the pieces, return to the Oneiromancer. She will take all the pieces, or if you returned to her after you got each one, she will give them all back. Either way you have to give them all to her then she will give them back, along with a kindling from the first Magic tree she ever grew.

18. Soak the kindling in the Waking-Sleep Potion. Drop the kindling. Talk to the Oneiromancer again, get another kindling and potion. Soak the new kindling. Bank one kindling, this is a backup should anything back happen to you ^.^

19. Okay. Now head to the brazier in the center of the town. Light it with a tinderbox. Use a kindling on the brazier. You will get teleported to the Dreamworld.

20. Once you’re there talk to the Ethereal Man/Lady.

You can get out by reading the lectern (or logging out, lol). Now, for the tests. Turn your mini map so North is facing up, south down, east right and west left. We’ll be looking at it like a clock.

Start in the spot where 1:00 should be.

A) The first test we will be doing is “Chop, Chop, Chop Away.” Speak to the Ethereal Perceptive, and he will challenge you. You have to get 20 logs before he does. Chop the dream tree and put your logs in your pile before the Ethereal Perceptive does. Once you win, he will send you off.

B) Once you’re back on our “clock,” go to Ethereal Man/Lady. Tell her about your experience. Now go to the platform that’s located in the 3:00 spot. You should land next to the Ethereal Expert. This challenge is “The Race is On.” He will challenge you to.. *gasp* a race! Obviously you get the obstacle-filled, windy path and he gets the straight and easy one. Oh, well. Turn run on and jump the hurdles. You should beat him unless you fail jumping hurdles more than twice. When you beat him he will send you back to the clock area.

C) Once back at the clock area, speak to the Ethereal Man/Lady again. Go to the purple platform located near the 5:00 spot. You’ll land in the area of the Ethereal Numerator. This challenge is known as “Communicating in Numbers.” He’ll give you a sequence of numbers and you have to figure out what the next two in the sequence are. I don’t know all of the sequences so I’ll leave this part for you to figure out, it’s really not that hard.

D) Back at our clock, talk to the Ethereal Man/Lady again. After the short conversation head over to the teal platform next to the purple one you just took. You will be in the area of the Ethereal Mimic. This challenge is known as “Anything you can do.” Speak to the Ethereal Mimic and right off the bat he will tell you to follow his lead. Agree to take the test. This is just like the mime random event, just mimic the emotes he does. After 5 correctly imitated emotes he will send you back to the clock area.

E) Once again speak with the Ethereal Man/Lady. Now go to the Yellow platform in the 7:00 spot. You’ll be at the Ethereal Fluke, taking the test “A Game of Chance.” You have to roll the dice to add up to the number he gives you. When you select to roll the dice, it will turn into: (The number on the left is the number that is on the top face of the dice)

6 -> 1
5 -> 2
4 -> 3
3 -> 4
2 -> 5
1 -> 6

Figure out the sum of the dice to equal the number he gave you. After you get 5 correct, he will send you back to the clock area, just like all the others.

F) Once back, talk to the Ethereal Man/Lady. Now go to the white platform located in the 10:00 spot. Woot, the last challenge, “Where am I?”. Speak with the Ethereal Guide. He will challenge you to get to the other side. Jump to a dream puff and make your way to the other side. If you fall you will be returned to the starting side. Once you make your way all the way over, you will be returned to the clock.

G) Speak with the Ethereal Man/Lady again. He/she will give you one final test. Accept the test. You’ll be teleported to an area with a level 79 version of you. Kill it. It will teleport you around and itself, so it may be a little annoying to fight. Once you kill it you will be teleported back to the clock area. Speak with the Ethereal Man/Lady. Now read the Lectern and return to reality.

21. Return to Oneiromancer to finish the quest. Well done! :)

It's a very long quest though.

I suggest you replace the pictuer of you (with the lunar amrour)with your stats with a picture of you an lunar armour + stats without the D SQ

People might be intrested in the lunar stats the D SQ should go.
