Ok so recently I bought a new laptop. It has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX765M (2GB DDR5). However when I right click my computer, or go "run->'dxdiag'", it shows that my graphics card is the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600. How do I get my laptop to use the NVIDIA card??

Also I am running windows 8 if that makes a difference.

I think it's because of the way that Nvidia switches to integrated graphics when you aren't doing something that needs the card. I had an Nvidia card in my laptop and ran into the same problem. I don't know of a way to disable it but you should be able to set Nvidia as the default for certain programs in the Nvidia control panel.

Yup, it's called Nvidia Optimus. For some reason though, max RS graphics on Java don't prompt it to switch to my dedicated card. :(

RS runs fine, it's at 25 fps, but it could do better on the dedicated card...
