Looking for good desktop speakers.

My last speakers **** the bed.
Here is what I am looking for.

<$120
Speakers than can handle some bass. (Trance music.) Doesn't have to have a sub as long as they can get down low.
If an amp is needed I am going with these.
If a sub is needed, I am also going to need a suggestion for that. Total needs to be <$120
Not overly large. I can put 1.5' on my desk but larger than that is going to look weird I think. Not a deal breaker if they are large.

Any suggestions?


Edit: I was going to go with these, but recent reviews are warning me off.

Just to make this clear, >120 means greater than 120, <120 means less than 120.

I have them, and they are wonderful.

Which model?

On the new ones I bought? I know. But they sound incredible. You would never know. The highs sound just a bit tinny when it is blasting, but the sub is fantastic and the mids sound perfect.
