OK, been putting away a little bit of my pay checks towards this project. Project: Holy Cr*p decent frame rate!

Here is the CURRENT list of parts I am planning on buying:
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/CCameron/saved/23m0

Edit: Also want to make sure that all the parts are compatible.
I am trying to keep the price UNDER 900$.
I am really looking for recommendations on things such as screens, PSU's, and if there is any place I can cut back.

Here is a link to some GW2 Benchmarks: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gui ... enchmark,3268-6.html

I am building this PC's to play GW2 as best as possible, for my budget. Last time I made a thread very similar to this I received a lot of great feedback, and I'm hoping this benchmark link will help you help me!

I currently use a 7850 for my graphics card and have no problems playing most games at highest settings at 1920x1080 resolution. The games I have problems with are ones that are more CPU bound because my processor is a few years old. I've never played GW2, but if you are aware of how AMD numbers their cards, on the benchmark you linked, the 7850 would most likely come in just below the 6870.

Your CPU choice is good, the only reason to upgrade to i7s right now for gaming is if you are using Crossfire/SLI with multiple cards.

I don't see any RAM on your list?

If you were to add any money to your build, it should be in upgrading to a better graphics card, but the 7850 is a good card.

May I suggest some small substitutions? I've made a PC build list for you while keeping the $800 budget in mind. I've included the retail price and shipping costs and a link to the product for your convenience.

CPU & MOBO Combo:
Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core CPU
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Pro Gaming MOBO

Price = $239.99 + $154.99 - $30 combo saving = $364.98
Shipping = FREE

CPU Cooler:
CORSAIR Hydro Series H80i Water Cooler
Price = $86.99 - $12 w/ promo code EMCXNVR74 (ends 7/31) = $74.99
Shipping = FREE

HDD & DVD Burner Drive Combo:
Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"
ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner

Price = $64.99 + $18.99 - $13.00 combo saving = $70.98
Shipping = $4.98 (to my location - varies depending on location)

Video Card & Monitor Combo:
Video card same as what you have on your list (Radeon HD 7850)
ViewSonic VA2212M-LED Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LED Backlight LED Monitor

Price = $139.99 + $144.99 - $15.00 rebate - $10 combo saving = $274.98
Shipping = $7.59 (to my location - varies depending on location)

PSU:
Same as what you have on your list (Corsair CX430 430W)
Looks good according to this PSU reference list.
Price = $35
Shipping = $0.99 (to my location - varies depending on location)

OS:
Same as what you have on your list (Windows 7)
Price = $89.98

PC Case:
Same as what you have on your list (NZXT Temptest 210 ATX Mid Tower)
Price = $47.06
Shipping = FREE

RAM:
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8 GB (2X4 GB) PC3-12800 1600mHz DDR3 240-Pin SDRAM Dual Channel Memory Kit
Price = $64.99
Shipping = FREE

Keyboard:
Rosewill RK-201 Wired Standard Keyboard
Price = $5.99
Shipping = $2.99

Total Price = $1045.50 (including shipping)

Notes:
- Your list at $700 didn't include the Monitor and RAM. That would add average $220 to your total price bringing it to around $920. For an extra $125 you can get some nice upgrades.
- Don't get the liquid cooler if you don't plan on doing any overclocking.

Thanks for all the feedback so far, had RAM and a monitor earlier, must have messed it up with my filling!

GW2 is more CPU-based than GPU-based. I can get 60fps maxed out on my i5 3570k and 7970 setup, I'm sure you can easily get the same too.

Added in an updated link (now contains RAM and a monitor). Changed the budges to reflect this, as I realise $800 might force me to compromise a little to much.

This is what I'm currently thinking of. According to the benchmark tests this should run gw2 at close to max settings perfectly fine.

Any final recommendations? (Also, just want to check that everything is compatible)

If you can afford it I would upgrade to a 2GB 7850.

That's because I have changed, mostly upgrades, my build quite a bit.

Well, unless someone has some last minute input, I'm rather happy with my build and plan on ordering that parts sometime this week :D

Hyper 212 Evo - Much better cooling for not much more money
Corsair Builder CX 430 Watt - Should be sufficient as long as you don't plan on running crossfire in the future

I was informed its better just to buy the higher PSU because you never know what changes you will make in the future. When I had a 400PSU in there people were telling me to upgrade, do you think they only meant to upgrade to a 450?

I don't know. 400 watts was probably cutting it a bit close but you could go for a 500 watt PSU to be extra safe. Not sure how much power will be drawn when overclocking. (Unless you don't plan on it)
