Post subject:  Staking strategies?

I want to give staking a try, but I honestly dont know what I should use.

Here are my stats as of today.

With a magic level leaving you unable to use vengance and barrages, mage boxing is out of the question.
Ranged is a possibility, but many people use Morrigan's or Chaotic ranging gear which you need to watch out for.
Melee boxing would be risky, you would have to check the stats of each of your opponents, although your hitpoints level is decent.

I would advise you to watch some range/melee videos on youtube and do some practice matches or low stakes to see how you cope before you go all the way.

Use the Martingale betting strategy too (google is your friend). Ignore wikipedia when it says you will lose in the long run ;)

For the Martingale strategy, you still have a chance of losing it all (I almost did). So make sure you have a fairly large cashpile able to take up to about.. 7 or 8 losses? I have hit 7-8 losses in a row though.

Yes, definitely.

Assuming equal chance of winning (you and your opponent have the same stats, same weps and strategies)

Chance of losing match 1: 1 in 2
2: 1 in 4
3: 1 in 8
etc.
7: 1 in 2^7 (1 in 128)
8: 1 in 2^8 (256)

However, you only need these later events to happen once, then you're cleaned (have run out of money), this is what wikipedia is saying when it says you will lose in the long run. Make sure you have enough money to lose this many times, and also enough to start again after you have lost this many times.

Also, you should only accepts rules for challenges you know you have a chance of winning. There's no point going into a dual you think you may lose, as this takes you 1 loss closer to being cleaned.

did you always get first hit, have maxed stats, and have all the rules set right?

ive made 600m+ and ive never hit the 5th round. the funny thing is i wouldnt have even hit 5th round (80m since my base was 5m) if i was actually hitting first every time. i missclicked on the 3rd and 4th round so either one of those could/would have been a win for me easy

I am taking a break from staking (1b is alot to use up) and working on skills for a while till the dung/sacredclay potions are fixed.
