xbox 360 graphics issues

When I try to play red faction/skate 2/fallout 3 etc the screen goes bright pink. Not all of the graphics does, maybe just the background, not the character and HUD. It's really really annoying me. It makes it impossible (if not, very very hard) to see or even play for that matter. I know this is an issue with my xbox. Are the leads faulty, or is it something inside the actually box?

I'd wager something in the xbox. Do you have a different cable (HDMI or VGA) to connect it with so you can rule out the combo component/composite cable?

Sorry, but im nowhere near in understanding anything in the world of hardware. What do you mean?

Do you have either of those two others to try the connection?

Not sure, I'll have a root around for it, but (lucky me) I got RROD yesterday for the second time in about a week.. so we need to get that fixed first.

That actually is very lucky, if there was something wrong with your Xbox 360 and not your AV cords, then Microsoft will fix the ***** up and send it back, and it'll (hopefully) work.

Though I heard you can still send it to Microsoft if it gets RROD?

They'll fix RRoD free most of the time, you can sometimes complain your way into it. If you don't have RRoD you can easily make your console do it on purpose :p
