Alestorm: "True Scottish Pirate Metal"

Yes, as funny as the title sounds, Alestorm is indeed a "Pirate Metal" band from Scotland. I've been listening to their CD's for a while now, and they're fun to listen to. Especially fun if you're in a Pirates of the Caribbean mood. For a niche genre of metal, they pull it off quite well, and I can't help but laugh when I'm listening to them. Definitely for fans of Flogging Molly.

They have two CD's: Captain Morgan's Revenge (2008) and Black Sails at Midnight (2009) which can be both found on iTunes.

Wow, I wonder why I've never heard of these guys before. Their music is brilliant. I'm getting their CDs for sure.

I like how he actually sings like a pirate. XD

It's not a band I'd ever take seriously and actually buy an album for but there not bad i suppose.

edit: Second song is much better, first was way to dragonforceish and i really hate those guys.

Oh gosh, Alestorm <3 I was really into them in early 2009. I also got their new album a while ago. I laughed when each of the songs said in the beginning, "And remember, piracy is a crime!" Actually, even after all this time of not listening to them, they're still in the top 10 of play count.
