I've been meaning to get this out for some time...
As far as the new quests go,
they
are not that bad...
If you paused and din't think about the low
skill requirements or the stupidly short quest...
or even the total lack of story, you'll see they are actually
very nice indeed.
Think I'm stopping there?
I'm going to point out all the pros of the recent quests:
**** MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS, BEWARE ****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One Small Favour:
Gives you the option of using 20k(10k) to a skil(s)l of your choice...
That was worth the terribly "long trade sequence" quest theme
if you ask me...got me from 32 to 40 runecrafting.
Ghost Ahoy:
Expanded Mortytania's area, also, if you did the quest
you say a guy dressed in robes wielding a katana...
Hints at future updates, a land to the east.
(Prayer training location too)
Roving Elves:
Pretty spiffy bow and shield...
although they cost alot, they are quite powerful
(Expanding Elf storyline, ie. Waterfall Quest)
Creature of Fenkenstrain:
Big one here...
A new playground for those with 60+ agility...
No more harrowing training in the wild!
That's a relief to me, I'll just train at the arena
till I hit 60, then go there.
(I hate the wild with a passion...)
In Search Of The Myreque:
If any of you actually tried the shortcut
you get by completing the quest...
It doesn't take half as long to get there as it did.
Also it continues the storyline of the vampires
in Morytania, a plot which I really like so far.
Troll Romance:
Hints at more lands to the north, and some agility exp.
We all know agility is a pain in the rear to level up...
So every little bit helps (cool flowers too)
The Haunted Mine:
This one was tricky...
No real advantage given, other than a neat necklace.
Monkey Madness:
Continuing Gnome storyline,
plus you get to turn into different cool monkeys!
Throne Of Miscellania:
If nothing else...extended northward expansion
Other than that I hated thsi one, easy 10k though.
...Wait...forget that, hardest 10k I ever got!
Horror From The Deep:
Oh come on! This one rocked!
A monster that is immune to all but one attack
style at one time? This has a touch of greatness here!
That and the very nice prayer books, support your god today!
The Fremennik Trials:
Killign a supernatural being, nearly falling
to an invicible warrior, a long as hell trade sequence,
and a drinking contest...
How could you go wrong with that?
Pass the kegs!
Other than that, opened up alot of the north.
Gave us hope of the Icelands
Shades of Mort'ton Quest:
I have 1,300 sacred oils in my bank...
Do...NOT...tell me that this quest was stupid.
Shades own, mage armor owns, and cool chests own.
Eadgars Ruse:
Behold...easy herbloe exp!
Moving on!
Regicide Quest:
Two words...
Dragon
Halberd
That and continuation of a great storyline
Tai Bwo Wannai Trio
A cool poiosn that deals 8 initial damage,
Cool food that hurts your friends if you don't tell them
It was a pain, but it was kinda fun too...
Monkey Skin Sandwhich!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll stop there...
Anyone care to talk about it now?
