i was once in world1 looking for a rune baxe and some1 asks to sell him my rune pl8 4 200k (nice amount) so i traded him he gave me 1st 200k and some junk (burnt lobbie, runes, broze) i agreed (200k $\:D/$ ) and on the second screen (i was lucky to look that way) he offerd me 20k, i reported the **** *** ******* ** * ******* ** ****

I would like to point out that i am seeing a lot of "sellign rare balck ax 200k!!!!111" and i would like to metion that the black ax isn't rare anymore...

this may b a scam, or a glitch in the game. you buy a noted rhune item, say a pl8body. it turns into an iron pl8body on the trade screen. not many ppl notice. ive heard many ppl sayin this happened 2 them. this is bcos noted iron and rhune almost look the same shade. always buy rhune unnoted =]

Here's one I'm experienced with that I still see!

Look Jajex won't let you say your password ****** (Those are asterisks EVERY TIME!) and someone would say threes and well goodbye account!

and the one I fell for when I was an rs1 lvl 18 1 year ago!

The so called Jajex person.

They say that they need to fix something on your account or something along those lines. If you give the password to them they get you and well. Scam worked. They often do this by PM'ing! another I encountered that i chat blocked said I would be banned if i didn't.

P.S. the first guy only erased my friend list and didn't take any items and the second one got reported.

y scam ppl? imagine, u gust got a pass of an lvl 102 account, you've got like all lvls in the 80 but i dont think you would be happy cuz its not ure job to get all the lvls up

maybe you can add to scamms:
no one can trim armours. you can only get trimmed, gold trimmed, saradomon, zamorak, guthix and gilded armour as reward from treasure trails clues.

I fell for a scam once...I was selling a Rune Long for 30k and then at the last second the guy switched it to 3k

I said I would never go on Runescape again and then I was on the next day

My friend got scammed the following way:

He put up 800k for a sara full helm(awhile back)
The scammer put up the helm, and when he accpeted, he switched it with a rune t helm. My friend was too lazy to read the second screen, so he lost a fair bit of money there.

I have been a dummy for the following:
- armor trimming( lost full blk! lol)
- swap rune for mith/iron scam
- take away 990k for a 1 mil trade ( thank god)
- "ill turn ur armr into rune" scam
- " free stuff plz, i got haxed"
- Swap red mask for green
and many more i cant remember. Scammer suck.

Usually they offer you the real item first, the decline trade after they offer you item. They then sometimes make an excuse for declining and trade you again. the second time tho, they put up the lesser item in a note, and then ur scammed.

Some lvl 3 was offering me a rune longsword in varrock east bank, i put up the 32k and he declined. he traded again, and then put up a bronze long. Fortunately, im not stupid or distracted enough to fall for something like that :lol:
