these days, pking is really broken though. you have like 3 ways of doing it. you can either be a pure so you pwn everyone, be an even level player and get your level high enough so other players your level cant be pures, or go in a party. the average player just doesn't cut it anymore. you have to be a specialist, or gang up on them.

thats why i made a mage pure to pk with. 45 mage and rising, with only enough defense to use mystic robes.

overall, using combat to get money isn't luck, its more of a greater test of a)your skill and b) how obsessed with the game you are. if you have those 2 things, pking is a breeze.

Don't forget pjers. They're everywhere! Last night I almost had a whip pk, and at the last moment a pjer k0ed me.

Combat can be a good way to make money. You could kill Hellhounds like I do (Level 87, Melee'ing them.) Or you could kill Trolls or stuff and get things like Half Keys and other things.
