Post subject:  The Christmas Hacks
Merry Christmas to everybody! Unless you're a console gamer, in which case, there are a few hackers that are throwing you all a hearty "**** you." Basically, for those who haven't been following the console gaming scene for the last couple of months, there has been two prominent groups of hackers: one that was originally credited with taking down Blizzard a couple of months ago, followed with Playstation Network and Xbox Live, and a group that has risen in the last few weeks to attempt to stop them.

As anybody who has tried to sign in today has noticed, both PSN and Xbox Live are offline (as of the time of writing this). Why is this happening? Nobody knows, but I personally find it ridiculous to have to put up with this over and over again. As somebody who minds their own business, I am sick of getting caught in the hacking crossfire. Take your BS and send it elsewhere; there is zero reason why we, the consumers, should get screwed in all of this.

Still a **** move. [-X Although, I think he may be referring to past actions which did involve hacking and stealing people's information.

I don't do console gaming. I'd definitely glad I don't have to put up with that bs. And really, it is a shame that gamers get caught up in that. Gamers just want to enjoy themselves. Why people want to get in the way of that is beyond me.

Then again, people do game a lot and it probably wouldn't hurt to find some other alternative hobby or activity in the meantime while this option is unavailable.

They don't just go after consoles.
Runescape has been targeted in the past. Same with League of Legends. (among others)
But those are the two that personally has effected me.

I've had my forums offline for multiple days due to ddos attacks before. Not saying it was the lizard losers. But it's highly frustrating.

Guild Wars 2 sometimes gets hit by random DDoS. It was a bit laggy the past few days.
