Would never publicly advocate it but Custom Edition is a free version of the game, and you can host your own locked game on game ranger now.

Why wouldn't you?

With Custom Edition, we can host our own server?

Would never publically advocate an unlocked version of a game that isn't supposed to be free

Wheeee! That was fun :3
Mike is too easy to kill. Duke Puker is good, but not good enough :p

That was AMAZING! Some of the most fun at the events I've had in a while. The TF2 is nice, and we do have a good time, but it was such a fast-paced game this time.

Thanks to the great turnout and for the many attendees in Mumble.

I did promise someone would win something if we had 9 votes this past week, and we did! So, after having sent him the list of games to choose from, artofdvorak chose Surgeon Simulator 2013 as his prize for the week.

I'm pleased to say that I set the goal for this next week at 10 votes, and as of this writing (actually at least an hour ago), we've hit 10 votes. So someone in attendance this next event will get a prize, too!

Hopefully Earth will be able to get the Halo CE server running as it looks as though we'll be needing it next week. Should be a blast :D

Might stop by Mumble next week but won't be participating if Halo wins. Don't have it and it looks like just another FPS.

I'm not going to be able to have a Halo: CE server up this week. The server appears to be Windows only, and the server I run is Linux-based. WINE's a pain to deal with, so we will just do Half-Life 2: Deathmatch or Team Fortress 2. As the vote is now, we will be doing Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. If you want to play TF2, change your vote ;)

CS:GO will be returning to the vote next week, and the winner of this week's poll will be removed for the next week's vote. Halo: CE will not be returning unless I can get something sorted out.

And Half-Life 2: Deathmatch it is!

Why can't we play Half-Life 3: Deathmatch?

I'd love to, but I'm sure some people would complain

I've made a lot of progress with Sourcemod on the Half-Life 2: Deathmatch server, so expect more sounds next time we play

Shane might feature in some of them

Why no CS:S? I probably won't be getting CS:GO until Cyber Monday.

Or Garry's Mod! Trouble in Terrorist Town could always be a fun event (I don't know the capacity for it though).

New laptop in tote, so I'm going to attempt to play on it tonight.. Maybe. Then again, since the last time I came, my girlfriend got two 1080p IPS monitors, so I really can't go wrong now.

We'll be doing Team Fortress 2 for the Halloween event this week :)

After watching some Trouble in Terrorist Town videos from one of my favorite YouTube channels, I think it'd be an awesome addition at some point. I know it'll run and work fine on the current server, but we need to make sure people have Garry's Mod and would like to play.

I haven't discussed this yet with Earth, so bear in mind that it's not official by any means.

Take a look at this video if you'd like to see what it is:

I was never much a fan of TTT on pub servers. Supposedly, it can be a lot of fun. But the detective work and logic people use is absolutely retarded in the truest sense of the word. It bubbles down to "Ok, one of you two is a T so shoot each other." Maybe this group would be different, but idk if I would have fun with it anyway. But if you guys want to try it out, I think it's worth a shot. Just make sure the rules and roles are understood.
