I'm sure most of you have heard of the first Diablo 3 expansion dropping on 3.25.14. That is if you have walked into a Gamestop or any retailer that sells video games or listen to any form of internet radio in the past 5 months. Content includes: -An additional Act in the campaign -A new Artisan; The Mystic which provides Transmogrification (cosmetic override) and Enchanting (stat reforging) services. -A new ability for each class and 3 new passive abilities. -A new class called the Crusader (Paladin-esque). -Level cap increased to 70 up from 60. -New Event-like encounters for loot and gold farming. -Real money and in-game gold auction house removed permanently on 3.18.14 Pre-Expansion Patch 2.0.3 (Live currently): -Loot 2.0 = less crap whites and increased higher level items tailored to the class you're playing -Paragon 2.0 = 100 level cap removed. Unlimited Paragon Levels now. Each level grants you a Paragon Point you can use like a skill point in a skill tree type format. -Old difficulty settings removed (Hell/Nightmare/Inferno) and renamed (Hard/Expert/Master/Torment 1-6) -Each difficulty scales monster HP and damage but increases XP/Magic/Gold Fine dramatically. -Various little changes since the last major patch. TL;DR -> Diablo 3 is fun again and not broken. I, myself, am re-addicted which may be a great thing or a horrible thing. What are you thoughts on Diablo 3? Are you excited for RoS? So did they fix the issues with the exchange with real money thing? |

I wasn't aware that there were issues with it in the first place. I played it at launch (May 2012) and pretty much stopped in August of 2012. Just picked it up again 2 weeks ago. All I know is that there will be no Auction House at all come tomorrow. So the only exchanging of money and items will be in game trading with the other player. No real money involved whatsoever. |

I was finally pressured enough by my friends to buy D3. It was on sale so why not. It's kinda fun but I didn't have any initial interest in it so I got bored and went back to GW2. Maybe if I hit 60 I can run stuff with my friends and that could be fun. How long is it supposed to take to get to level 60? |

There are a few good XP farming runs your friends could run you through that yield 1-60 in about 2-4 hours depending how much you focus/grind. |
