I don't know if any of you have heard of Evolve, but if you haven't you should definitely check it out. It's similar to Steam, in that it tracks your gameplay and has an an overlay in your games that you can hotkey into (you can even link your Steam account to import your achievements). Evolve is essentially the Steam community section except better. For example, it has the option of forming a party with friends to play games, and in the party you get access to a VPN and VoIP. You can also link your IM accounts, such as Xfire, AIM, GChat, etc, to the Evolve friends chat. Additionally, Evolve has a free video capture feature. Unfortunately it doesn't record your microphone input, but it records sound output and video at a high quality. If you're interested, it's in open beta right now. So it's a little bit like xFire and Steam combined. Usually, I don't use these types of programs that much. It has to be run at startup for me or I completely forget about it. I might give it a try, though. |
