I'm no doubt being a complete nerd here but the Iron throne in that trailer? Does it look a little..different to the one in the TV show;

It's supposed to be made of swords. It's the arm rests that are bugging me there too smooth. Considering it's the name of the first book and essentially what kicks off the entire series it's probably wise to get it right. Also a dragon...er..problem with that too is this set before or after the books? Theres only 3 dragons left during the book and they sure as **** aren't big enough to ride about on.

TV adaptation, from an unknown developer being published by a crappy publisher who's got a big long list of crap games they've previously published and no doubt on a rather limited budget?

This game will be crap and cannot do the tv show or the books any justice which is a real shame. But then Ice and Fire isn't really about fighting...despite there being a war on you very rarely find the character your following involved in any battles you just hear about past battles from other characters so it doesn't really suit a game anyway.

I was thinking the same thing. I would think it would be before the books, since HBO would sue the **** out of the game company for ruining their TV show for them if it was about more than the first book.

From Nymeria's arrival in the Kingdom of Dorne to the awakening of the "Others" beyond the Wall, you'll live the origins of A Game of Thrones saga through more than 1000 years of history, by taking part in Westeros' founding events and largest battles. In this great strategy game, victory does not necessarily result from brute force. You can choose to use a military approach and besiege your opponents, strangle them in an economical war, or even use dirty tricks and diplomacy to politically crush them. Treachery and deception are everywhere and can be more efficient than the most powerful army. So watch your back and show no mercy if you want to keep sat on the Iron Throne.

I'm going to go ahead and agree with Creepy about the complexity of the storyline but if it's going to be a prequel to the books, then I don't know. It can either be amazingly good or a catastrophic failure. My concern is that A Song of Ice and Fire is such a rich story with a style all of its own. Whatever vision Cyanide Studio has for the game can either work wonderfully with the story or backfire totally.

It does look nice though.
