Post subject:  does a rockband guitar work on guitar hero?
i got world tour for chrismas with a used rockband guitar...well the guitar doesn't work or something...every button i press is like im pressing orange one (i know i don't explain well but do your best :D ) well i wanted to know if it the the xbox, guitar, or it just doesn't work with guitar hero

I don't mean to be a ******* and insult your intelligence or anything because believe me I'm not but is the guitar on? When i first got mine a year ago today, I had trouble getting it connected to the ps2 correctly. :oops:

I know guitar hero guitars work perfect for rock band but im not quite sure the other way around. If you already have them it's worth a try- not like the thing is going to explode.


(Of course if it does ill feel bad now).

My Rock Band gutiar didn't work with Guitar Hero when I tried it. It gave me some message like "unsupported guitar". I assume that this is because of the solo frets on the Rock Band controller.

I tried this with a Rock Band 1 guitar with Guitar Hero III, so other combinations might work.

Aw that sucks. You can buy guitars by the themselves though for like 60-80 dollars though, if you can save up that much. Or just try to swap GH for Rock Band?

Nope.

Rock Band drums work with Guitar Hero Would Tour, though.

i guess it works...maybe something was wrong with the guitar (it was acting a little wierd) but i already got my money back and bought another guitar like a while ago :lol:
