To help curb the rampant inflation in World of Warcraft, Blizzard has crafted the game's largest money-sink to date and managed to comment on America's (least) favorite socialite, all at the same time.

Though the "Haris Pilton" character has been in the game for months now, Blizzard has finally given her something to do, aside from illicit snickers from players who recognize the reference.

Beginning with patch 2.4.3, Pilton will offer players a line of high-end bags and jewelry designed to free them of their excess cash. The "Gigantique" bag for instance, is larger than any other general-purpose bag in the game currently, but will lighten your wallet by 1,200 gold.

Just be sure to wash it before you strap it onto any delicate parts of your body.

all i have to say...

The bags are probably the only thing she sells that make any sense. Since 22 slot are the biggest in the game at the moment. The rest are just dumb. Anybody who pays 3000g for a ring that doesn't do anything and has no stats is a moron.

It won't work. So much gold available in very easy ways at 70s (daily quests for example) a few crappy expensive items that only a few people will buy won't change anything.

I actually saw her for the first time yesterday.

I have a feeling the majority of her goods are going to be similar to the items sold by this guy.

Yeah.. Totally pointless.

Just costing a hell of a lot more money. Although mentioning Griftah it's weird they actually put those useless items in the game. Because I remember a few months back (maybe longer) Griftah was temporarily removed from Shattrah because people complained about wasting money on his items when they didn't realize they did nothing. They put him outside the city, then they moved him back after some huge forum topic about it.

but without my Infallible Tikbalang Ward a Tikbalang could find me and steal me away to the treetops! How could you say his items are useless?!

I know! I've been using my Talisman of True Treasure Tracking and I've been getting treasure from almost every mob I kill! :o

So the stuff she sells is pretty much like partyhats in runescape?
Is there a buy screen where it shows the items and their stats or not? Because surely it would be much easier to add that in instead of having loads of people complain about it in the future. :)

Blah, this is hardly the news that is worth mentioning about 2.4.3. I mean LVL 30S WILL BE ABLE TO GET MOUNTS. How awesome is that?

Yep, the level 40 mounts are being reduced to level 30. I just wonder if the pally quest requires you to kill anything. Theres also 3 new items, the path of Illidan, which leaves flaming footprints where you walk. A diso ball, which is kinda lame and a Courtiseum minion who follows you and sells stuff.

Nothing like phats in RS, phats are sold from player to player for large amounts. These items you buy from NPCs for large sums, and anyone in their right might wouldn't pay what they're sold for. It's not like you can display them to show off how rich you are either since rings don't appear on your body.
