I'm thinking about getting guild wars, explain how you play it, and if it's a monthly thing. :D

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Getting_st ... phecies%29.<-- something you might want to read :D and by monthly thing do you mean fee? but there isn't a monthly fee

Silly Kevin uses broken links.

Clicky.

Thats for the first campaign. There's 3 campaigns - Prophecies (the first one), Factions (Asian themed) and Nightfall (deserty nomady themed). Theres an expansion pack too, Eye of the North. You can play any of the campaigns without having any of the others, but each campaign has different skills, and factions/nightfall have 2 extra professions each. You'll need at least one of these campaign in order to play Eye of the North though.

Bear in mind though, if you want to play some serious PvP (such as Guild vs Guild, eight versus eight), you'll normally be required to have all 3 campaigns plus eye of the north so you have access to all the skills.

Aaaand GW2 beta is due out next year (I think?)

Thanks. :P I noticed Kevin used a broken link.

Well I don't see anywhere where you pay for just one time, or pay at all. Should I just go to their website?

You buy the disc for each chapter you want. Roughly £20-25 each (currently 4 of them). Then it's free for life.

I advise you to wait for Guild Wars 2 (also no monthly fee)

you should buy the game if you can and the reason is if you play the game now you have the ability to save items that can be transfered to guild wars 2. so you can save high level armor, weapons, display your character and when GW2 comes out you can use those armor and not have to worry about level up as much. i should post pictures of the hall of monument which is going to be used as a the bridge between the two games.
