Didn't like The Darkness at all. But then I hated Halo ..
I really wouldn't compare it to Halo either, different types of game. Halo will always win any comparison .. Fan boys

I'm failing to see how The Darkness recieved a lower rating than Halo 3 and all those other hyped up FPS's. This is one of the best games I've played in a long time. The story is just amazing, and has so much depth to it. Who would expect what happened at the end of Chapter 1. I've had such an enjoyable experience so far with this game, and it really puts those other 'shooters' to shame. I'm probably biased though, since I'm a huge RPG player, I found this game great because there's some open endness to it. But still, if you've played the demo and didn't like it, please rent it and give it another try. The demo was the tip of the iceberg. |

well i never even heard of the game until i saw this thread. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/20941.html watching it just seems it has a nice story but it seems at some points the game just seems dull. new york city with nobody on the streets but you? |

The voice acting is really well done, the story seems interesting and the start (the car chase) is decent. Beyond that? Was crap. Controls was no good, using the weapons felt lame, the demon things just sucked and wasn't fun to use either + they was awkward to move about with. Halo 3 was in a different league. |

I personally really enjoyed the single player a ton more than Halo, it just seemed like a more genuine FPS. The MP had promise but was always laggy when the game was first released (I haven't tried it since) |
