I've been playing a lot on a non-Live account and was wondering if there was any way to get the progress of that account onto the Live account I have.

No. There is no way (that I know of) of taking something from one account and putting it onto another.

No you can't...why not just activate the same account on Live?

Why do you have two accounts?

When I first got my Xbox, I got lots of achievments before I even got a Silver Accounts. When I signed up for a Silver Account, it let me keep all my achievments, if that's what you mean.

i think maybe what he means is that his account name is already taken .e.g. Pat is already taken. So he has to make a completely new account

Not true. When signing up for xbox live while logged into your non-live account, you get the choice of changing your gamertag. Thus keeping all achievements and highscores on the account, and making it live.

Same problem happened to me, I had like 5k GS on one account, got Live and put it on a new account not knowing any better. It was a shame because I had 1250 for Oblivion on that account and although I would like to add another 1250 to my current account, I don't want to spend another 100 hours playing it.

You can't get it back as far as I know unless you want to pay for two Xbox Live accounts.

when you sign up for live if the name is taken it gives you the option to change it for free. if you mean resigning up it should let you sign up the same account.
