You're right, but the thing is, there's not really anything similar to the pokemon games right now. Because of that, nothing major is really "needed" to add into the main games, as there's no competition.

I agree though, it's getting a little old, Nintendo needs to come up with something a lot bigger than "night and day" next time around.

Post subject:	Pokemon Gold/Silver remake for DS
Although there has been no official news on this yet, to my knowledge, there are a lot of rumours going around about a "Shining Gold" and "Shimmering Silver" version. Evidence for this is the appearance of one of the Johto gym leaders in the new DP versions, and various images have been found in Japan, although they could just be faked rumours. I don't think it makes sense for Ho-oh and Lugia to be released through a Nintendo event when/if they're planning to give them away in a remake of GS, do you? And, the three johto starters, and legendary dog trio are also catchable/obtainable in past games. Personally I'd like to see remakes of these games, simply because they were really fun to play, and didn't wholly share the same storyline as the rest (collect 8 gym badges, defeat elite four, break up a criminal gang at the age of 10...). What do you think?

it might be remade since i don't think that they have any more ideas for a whole new game. the tv show is dead and with 450? pokemon, they really couldn't have much more. G/S would sell a ton if they were remade so i can't see why not

I'd love that. Only thing is, it'd make eight Pokemon more common; Cynaquil, Chikorita, Totidile, Ho Oh, Lugia, Suicicune, Entei, and Raikou. I guess that'd be a good thing, since the above are pretty hard to get. When I saw that leader from Oviline City, I was hoping I might have gotten to explor a bit of Johto. I was sad when I found out I couldn't. Oh well. I'd completely buy it. If it comes out, shouldn't it have GTS? That'd be awesome, too. Oh, and right now, there is a GBA Pokemon Gold hack. It's Shiny Gold. Apparently, you can catch Mew, Celebi, Jyrachi, and Deoxie's on it, as well as all of the Pokemon that exist. I don't think it's finished, though. If not, it's somewhere in the Kanto region. Edit: Oh, and shiny Gyarados will be more common. The only real reason I'd like it is so that I could play it on my DS.

No, the best Pokemon games by far are Ruby and Sapphire. Nothing else even belongs in the 'best' category. Remake Ruby and Sapphire but not Gold and Silver! They don't even NEED a remake, thats how good they are

I'd love to see a remake of Gold + Silver, they were my favourites. I was playing Ruby the other day, and when I beat the Elite Four I thought I could go beat the other 8 gym leaders, I was gutted whn I realised it was the wrong version .

I remember the day I had completed my Gold Pokedex except for Togetic, then my cartridge got wiped because I left it in a dusty place for a year I would love to see a remake of GSC, they had the best world and pokemon.

i cant believe youre all saying these new pokemons were the best? gold red and blue were the best. original and best. i completely lost interest as a child after the original 151 pokemon.
