Required quest
The Feud
Contact!
Zogre Flesh Eaters
requirements
Level 60 Thieving
Level 50 Agility
Level 60 Strength
Level 21 Firemaking
Level 60 Crafting would be helpful, but not essential
Must be able to fight off numerous hostile creatures.
assistance: Vlad the old, pokemama1, shane12088

items needed: desert gear, money for carpet rides, Rope, the golden artifact on top of the agility pyramid (can get while doing the quest), 10 gold artifacts from the pyramid plunder, armor and food
optional: camulet, bucket, rope, relicym's balm, anti poison, keris dagger, teleports

Speak to the High Priest of Icthlarin in Sophanem.

1. Talk to the high Priest in sophanem and he will tell you that there is a dead body and you were asked to inspect the body before having it embalmed.
Image
2. It seems the person isn't dead but was drugged to get past inspection. Ask her a few questions and then talk to the high priest again. Time for you to head east and slay some beetles but he does request if you see the high priest of scabaras to try diplomacy than killing. Before you leave grab a rope 10 gold artifacts from the pyramid plunder.

3. Head south east and you'll find a small passage with a swamp on the other side. You'll find a fallen pillar and head up.
Image
4. You'll find some people near a camp site talk to them and they want to prove you are worthy and gives you a quiz on math. The math problems are random so have your calculator out and also remember to round down to the nearest whole number. You can also refill your waterskins by the spring.

5. After you have answered all the questions they want some items from you, the golden object on top of the agility pyramid, 10 golden artifacts from pyramid plunder and a variable amount of bronze item. (a little tip when asked to get the bronze items go to the world map and try to find a store usually it's faster.) She will also give you a crate to store the bronze items. now head West and you'll see a low wall and a few level 125 mummies. Climb over it and use the rope on the rock on the cliff. You can now use this as a short cut instead of going around the swamp. Head to the agility pyramid and talk to Simon and give him the artifacts but be careful not to sell.

6. You have to make the bronze items look ancient to do that you need camel dung. Equip your camulet and talk to a cammel for some dung and remember to have a bucket. It is faster just to walk into the desert and smear dung on them one by one than using the create technique but if you do not have high enough crafting level you can put everything into the crate and wait a while. When you have given him everything you'll get a receipt and head back to the camp. Grab your combat gear.

8. Return to the camp site and she wants you to find some lost notes so you have kill the monsters on the bottom floor. Kill anything except the crocs. Head back to the camp when you have the notes and you will get a key to a new tunnel. Head up north to the tunnel.

9. When you go in light the furnace on the right there are a few logs nearby, a regular one a teak one and a magic one. The type of log that you light does not matter just whether you have the right firemaking level. When you are done talk to the golem on the other side and pump up the power. You must pull all 4 levers in order to get into the next room. Three of the Four rooms have an obsticle that you must complete before you can activate the lever, one is to kill a guardian, a mysterious box, an agility course and a strength course. You send power to any room you wish to make it easier but I suggest sending the most power to the beetle room since the creature is plenty strong. For the puzzle room you have to match 3 of a kind playing a memory game. You can move some of the cogs and switches around for extra turns and the more power you give the more turns you have.
*If you use up all the logs you must supply your own, you do not need a tinder box*
Image
10. After you have activated all the levers head through the door. Now watch out for traps and and be careful the traps cause disease. Keep heading west until you see a room and you'll be able to talk to the priest.

Image
11. Make a statement asking what's going on and say that he is committing heresy. You'll have to fight him a few times until he's says something else. Then head back to sophanem and talk to the priest and get your reward.

Image
The enchanted Tiara nulls the desert effect so you would not need waterskins anymore. To make one add water runes to a water tiara.
sub-quest:
After you have given the items to Simon talk to him again and he has another job for you. Head back to the pyramid plunder and talk to the mummy. Then head back to Simon and from now on you can sell him noted artifacts.

Just to add a little to this good posting.

When talking to the priest at point 10 of this useful guide some people have thought they have encountered a glitch as you seem to go round in circles and get nowhere. I'm guessing this is intentional and wont be altered as the priest is supposed to be confused. Just kepp selecting the first chat line and then the last (fighting when necessary) and you'll get through this.

Luck to all.

Great guide, says everything that I did in the quest but I found two flaws.

Point out that it takes 3 water runes for one charge on the enchanted tiara.

After the simon miniquest you can only sell him noted artifacts up to and not including gold.
