Alright thanks.

I just wasn't sure if there was something special about it.

If it hits as fast as a dagger then why not use the drag dagger, thats what I usually use when I train.

Because dagger deals stab damage and staff deals crush damage, some monsters are more sensitive to different types of damage.

Ah, I never thought about it like that.

Thanks for telling me.

Nobody cares much about it either, but I've noticed that it actually works, for example a dragon longsword fails a lot more on ice warriors than the staff does and with ammy + gauntlets thats about 52 crush for the staff and 81 slash for the sword. (Not to mention the staff is faster which is why they are better for training on ice/earth warriors)

 Post subject: Weapons to Train?
PostPosted: May 13th, 2005, 1:46 pm
Just wondering why use a rune scimmy instead of a dragon longsword? It is only slightly slower but has a higher slash and str bonus?

Also, why train on ghouls they only about the same hp as rock crabs, hit higher, and retreat...?

Thx if anyone can answer my questions

Because it's faster, power is not a constant factor, unlike speed, if you could some way change the system so the Dragon Longsword actually makes up with damage the speed then it will be okay, but since you can't do that then you should stick with faster weapons.

Ghouls have a huge spawn and you do not have to lure them, the only FATAL error on the rock crabs is that you have to lure them which makes you lose valuable exp.

Remember dragon longswords are much better for fighting monsters, but not for training, training is a balance of speed and power.

k, i have to ask something.
Im at the graveyard of shadows, and if i dont click those zombies, they will just hit me and i wont do anything but just put my shield to protect. My charater doesnt attack them automatically, when they attack me, blah.

Anything to do to change this?

Oh nothing, i fixed it. Didnt have that auto retaliate on.

btw very nice guide.

EDIT: what about hobgoblins in the huge mining area in wildrness? There are more hobgoblins than zombies in graveyard, so u get attacked more often. Its in the lvl30 wildrness. I like this place, u should try it out?
