Mouse's Guide to Cutting Wood. Many people consider woodcutting boring…but it isn’t. This skill can be very useful. You can make tons of money from woodcutting. And here are some tips how. The Hatchets… There is no required level to use any of the hatchets but to wield you need the attacking levels you need to wield a weapon of the same material. Bronze ![]() Iron ![]() Steel ![]() Black ![]() Mithril ![]() Adamantite ![]() Rune ![]() The Trees… Regular Trees ![]() Charcoal Trees ![]() Oak Trees ![]() Willow Trees ![]() Teak Trees* ![]() Maple Trees* ![]() Hollow Trees* ![]() Mahogany Trees* ![]() Yew Trees ![]() Magic Trees* ![]() *Denotes members only tree. After cutting them you get… When you get some weird things in your inventory. They are called logs! Normal Trees ![]() Oak Trees ![]() Willow Trees ![]() Teak Trees ![]() Maple Trees ![]() Hollow Trees (Bark instead of Logs) ![]() Mahogany Trees ![]() Yew Trees ![]() Magic Trees ![]() Tips for quick experience! If you are cutting regular logs basically cut and burn then until you can cut oak.. This is the same with oak trees as they are basically useless, cut until you can cut willow. Willow trees are the best trees for experience. Cut these until level 50. When you reach level 50 move onto maple trees. These can be sold for 100gp each and I would personally cut these until level 67. Now you’re moving onto a major moneymaking deal with yews. When I reached level 67 woodcutting I cut these and these sell for 300gp each. Cut these until level 75. Now you’re cutting magics you sell each log for 1k each. You are considered an experienced woodcutter now. And congratulations. Random Facts · Regular trees are awful to sell but if you’re a member you can fletch them into shafts and sell for 10gp each (15 shafts per log) · Willows are the best trees to cut for experience at level 60+ because they are quick and give reasonable xp. · Although maples are a non-member tree they can only be found in members area. Non-members can burn and buy them but cannot cut them. Best places to cut wood. Regular trees: - Any forest. Hundreds of these around Runescape. Oak trees: - These are found in and around the forests. Willow trees: - Draynor village is by far the best place to cut these trees but also there is a good spot above seers bank. Teak Trees: - Only one spot, Tai Bwan Area. Maple Trees: - North of seers bank. Hollow Trees: - The one and only place is north east of Canifis. Mahogany Trees: - Only one spot, Tai Bwan Area. Yew trees: - Gnome Stronghold, directly next to the bank. Magic Trees: - By the Ranging guild or just south of there in the place where you start Scorpion Catcher quest. Bring me the money! The best money making trees are the willows, maples, yews and magics. · Willows sell for 30gp · Maples sell for 100gp · Yews sell for 300gp · Magics sell for 1000gp Helpful xp! If you have started Legends Quest you can cut the bushes in Kharazi jungle. Buy a machete and head there. These give you a lot of xp and you don’t have the hassle of logs! But you cannot get money from this. Thank you. Mr Mouse7989. |
