Post subject: | Hey BandB |
I used RS BandB for the calculators about 5 years ago. Always had the best tools on any help site bar none. I saw an error on the thieving calculator, it said gem stall gave 160 exp but it gives 16. I made an account and posted a correction. I was all but called a liar, even by the mod who then locked the thread; all this despite me having a high enough thieving level to know what I was talking about. I'm still a little bitter about it all. You can see the thread here. Now that I have shared it I can move on. I'm back. ![]() Been playing Runescape since June 13th 2003, member since June 14th 2003. I often have an on/off relationship with it. Either I'm playing a whole bunch, or not at all for weeks. Seems to be a hot phase a the moment. I mostly play now for Dungeoneering. Trying to train some side skills to make my runs easier. I had a goal of 80 all to help with Tier 5 stuff in Stealing Creation. Right as I neared completing that goal Dung came out and 80 wasn't enough at all! ![]() Friends are what tend to keep me coming back to RuneScape but almost all of the people I have known over the years have quit. I need some new ones! ![]() |

I suppose at least, if it's any condolence, the moderator in question is no longer a moderator (albeit I think he left of his own accord). Rest assured we're not so quick to shoot down potential corrections any more (... and I would've hoped that we never were, so that's awful to hear about). You have some very impressive stats. I had the same goal of 80+ SC skills, which became 80+ in all skills after I reached those. Fortunately achieved that before Dungeoneering was released, which I am not interested in at all and have since mostly used lamps/tears/penguins to gain XP in. ![]() Welcome aboard, again, in any case! We'll try to look out for you this time. ![]() |

Oh dear, I'm sorry about how you were treated on that thread by your post being misread. What's even more embarrassing is the thieving calc still had the experience gain as only 16xp after almost 6 years. I can't believe it went unnoticed for so long (except by you, but I missed your thread back then I guess). It's now corrected. ![]() Our skill calculators have gotten a bit out of date over the years in features, we are working on an eventual replacement for them. In any case, welcome back. I hope you decide to stay longer this time ![]() If you have any problems or questions, you can send me a PM. |

Haha Mike, 16 experience was correct so I guess it got corrected within those years. It was 160 when he posted that thread and he was like "it's actually 16 xp" and everyone was like LMFAO NO JAGEX OBVIOUSLY MAKES EVERYTHING TO MAKE SENSE I AM 100% SURE EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T CHECK. Then it was changed some point between then and now I guess. (I don't have membies right now though so I just checked RS Wiki and it said 16 so maybe they have it wrong too somehow.. because I just read the thread again and it can go both ways XD) Quote: Rest assured we're not so quick to shoot down potential corrections any more I am (if I ever get released content power@) jk Hi wapez. |

Oops you're right, I am the one who misread and wrongly assumed it was still wrong without checking for some reason. It would make a lot more sense if it did give 160xp. I clearly need some sleep. ![]() |

Imagine I come back and the result was it gets changed to the incorrect amount again! I'm almost always up for a game of castle war, stealing creation, or Dung (which is a mini-game in my eyes). |
