Post subject:  Farewell!

I'll tell you what, guys. This forum is nothing near as awesome as it was before. This forum is complete crap, compared to the forum it was before. When the Sandbox was around, and Distinguished Members were still around. Those were the days. Back when people wouldn't ***** about every single thing. This forum has become nothing but Drama. Drama... That word just makes me laugh. I never thought I'd see Drama turn something good into something bad, but I did. Sadly. Before I start explaining the *******, I'm going to just give a little explanation of what the forum was when I first joined.

Best thing about this site was the Sandbox. When I joined, I had about five months or so of the Sandbox. Best five months I've ever spent on a forum. The Sandbox was a free-for-all, but it was a **** fun one. I can't remember the last time I posted in there, but I'll let you know, if I could go back in time, I'd write the longest post I have ever wrote to say goodbye to the Sandbox. That place was so fun. Oh so fun. I remember one day when I logged in and Creepy had it completely spammed up with a subliminal message. :D The Sandbox was just a place to chill out and joke with other people.

THEN THE DRAMA CAME.

People were ***** about everything, ruining people's fun. Eventually, Shane and Mike got tired of the ***** and closed the Sandbox. Deleted it. No **** warning. Whatesoever. So many people were *****. So many people.

My fun just slowly went downhill from there.

I was once asked; "How will you leave RSBandB?" and I replied; "With a bang." And I keep my word. You're my homie, Keaton. Brotherly love. (Keaton asked me that, for your information.)

I swear. This community has gone downhill. Bigtime.

I just want you guys to know this. Although the community sucks, I still love all my homies from here with mad bro love.

Now, the main reason I left: Just had enough, but this warning really ***** me off.

This ******* Warning was for calling someone a fanboy. A fanboy. Yes, a fanboy. A fanboy. Again. A GOD. ****. FANBOY. I'll tell you this. The guy who reported me for that is really, really, really lucky I got an official warning for calling him a fanboy. Really. ****. Lucky.

I've been here for two and a half years, and this is how people treat me? ****. To all of you newbies: Don't do any **** that'll get you in trouble. Just don't. And don't make any friends here either. None. You'll get attracted into a drama whirlpool. Take my advice, kid.

Here's to my homies:

1) Sev - You're my main bro, man. Wicked love.
2) Keaton - You're always going to stay in my circle of friends, man. Wicked love.
3) Matt - ellow mayte, remembah moy eenglush acksent? Wicked love, lol.
4) Al3X - Hey man. We all knew this was going to happen eventually, didn't we? I'll hit 10/55 soon man, and we can chillax. Wicked love.
5) Volume - POST MOAR. And also, you're one hell of a friend. 3OH!3 will treat you well. Wicked love.
6) Josh - Dude. You did it, I'm doing it to. Feels good, really does. Wicked love.
7) Nikeballa - You're an ******* :P You're also a great friend. See you on Xbox Live! Wicked love.
8) Power Crazy - You're also a good friend. See ya, hope you have a bunch of fun.
9) Dragon - I remember sending you messages on Xbox Live about stuff about games, haha. Good times. :P
10) Raidian - You're still my homie, even though we hardly talk. Wicked love.
11) Ryan - We don't get along much, but you're still a friend. See ya.
12) Mr. Pink - We don't talk much, and we need to change that.
13) Creepy - We got along a lot, and I hope to keep that going on Xbox Live.
14) Humus - Hey man. Thanks for those awesome signatures. :D Wicked love.

If I forgot you, and you're a major friend, please slap me. Hard. I'm sorry, so very sorry if I forgot you and you're like one of my best friends.

To everyone else I've got along with: Love ya.

Just to clear up the misconceptions since you're selectively representing the information to skew the truth.

You seem to have forgotten your first warning about flaming. The 2nd one was for antagonising flame-baiting. Not because of the fanboy thing per sei, but flame baiting. The third was also for flame baiting, and it was only were given after jibes here and there continued toward to the same person, and you were told to stop many times, else you would be risking another official warning. So after your flame baiting continued, it was finally decided to give you another warning, since you didn't seem to get our very simple message: to stop flaming/flame-baiting as it was against the rules.

Hey, the words themselves were probably not the most insulting, but the tone and intent definitely was.

I would have just sent this to you in a PM, but you've made it clear that you don't mind discussion of it being out in the open, due to the middle part of your post.

I feel bad that you couldn't stop your baiting, which honestly caused a lot of problems for the staff. It would have been better for all involved if you had just ignored the "person", in my mind.

But, I feel worse that you've now labeled the entire Rsbandb community as being people that "***** at everything", because that really isn't the case. But hey, if you really think about it, you'll find that the community you involve yourself with at Rsbandb is really just a group of your friends, and you do have lots of friends that would probably miss you if you do decide to leave. I'd advise you to take a few days to think about what you're doing.

I didn't mention my first official warning because 1) It's irrelevant, it wasn't a ******* warning. And 2) I did deserve it.

I also didn't get a single warning to stop simply talking to him. I wasn't flame baiting or anything most of the time. Yeah, sure, I was a bit rude at times, but regardless, I should at least get a couple of PMs if you guys want me to stop.

Even though I don't need PMs to tell me to stop, it would be better than throwing this on me all the sudden, rather than giving me a friendly (why do I even say that? it's not friendly) warning saying "SHUT UP OR GET OWNED".

And when you say that RSBandB is just a bunch of my friends, you're a tad bit wrong. I don't even touch the RS area of the site. I only touch the "Non-RS Media" and "Non-RS Discussion" areas of the site. And half of the people who do visit the RS parts of the site are either annoying or don't ever post in the Non-RS areas of the site.

I've thought about doing this for a lot of time. This just gave me the time and the opportunity to leave.

Yeah, let's also forget there's a PM button. Bring on the embarrassment! :D

You didn't need a warning to not talk to him. Lol, we're not going to tell you who to talk to and who not to talk to. You're free to associate with whoever you wish on the forum, as long as you do it within the rules

Speaking of which, if you weren't leaving, I'd suggest referring to the **** rules again since you still don't seem to grasp that any flaming or flame-baiting will result in an official warning. This is why we encourage members to think about what they're writing before they post Submit. A third warning isn't really the end of the world you know, warnings DO get removed for good behaviour...and never once did we say "Shut up" in our PM's.

What I meant by my comment about the Rsbandb community that you got the wrong impression on, is that you talk to your friends much more than you talk to people you don't know. Therefore, the community is largely about your friends. I didn't understand why you thought I was referring to the Runescape sections of the site, that had nothing to do with it.

And no embarrassment seemed to exude from you in your post, as you quite blatantly laid out the discussion on your warnings out in the open. I'm sorry, had I known you would have been embarrassed with the truth, I would have hid it from the public view.

I'm sorry you think that we have done you wrong, but as I said before, it's not the end of the world. Even though you changed your avatar to show something otherwise, we aren't forcing you to leave, on the contrary. We'd like you to stay, but only if you comply with the rules. Once again, I'd urge you to clear your head, get a good night's sleep, and think about it.

If not, I wish you the best with your future endeavours, Steven. Good luck.

Post subject:  Re: Farewell!

Well I might've respected your decision if you didn't go and do a Total Plox signature. That's really not cool. XD

Trekkie is usually one of the more lenient moderators so I'm sure he had sufficient reasoning behind his action as King Kulla has outlined himself.
Don't forget it's only a warning: it's only going to result in anything happening to you if you go flaming someone again, which I trust you definitely won't want to go doing, as you're aware of the consequences. :P Just because you have a high warning count doesn't mean we hate you and are going to do our best to single you out and slam you for every little toe out of line. All it takes is to look at someone like Iron Maiden who doesn't mind what other people think of him and has a warning count of about 4 if I remember correctly. He could've been banned right there and then, but we chose to let him stay because we knew he had good intentions. When it comes down to it it's people like him who we prefer in the community because they don't really mean to cause any trouble, and they don't go out of their way to... well, to put it bluntly, cause drama just like this.

As staff we're working to make the forums a better place, and we require your cooperation in doing so. One of the things you can do (referring to the general public) is not put people down in public - especially when they're not behaving as they should, because it makes it very difficult for us to determine who should actually be punished. Instead, if it need not be dealt with immediately, it can often be much more effective to write a PM to a moderator about whoever is causing problems.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do about the forums as they are currently and I won't deny that there are certain aspects of the community which I really hate too. You just have to give us time to straighten them out. See you around, Steven.

Edit: Like Kulla mentioned, sleep does wonders. Trust me, I've considered leaving lots of positions on RSBandB before and I forget about it the next day. We won't blame you for coming back. :P

Post subject:  Re: Farewell!

I can't be bothered to go and edit my main post, Kulla, but when I said something about a PM saying shut up, I meant for you guys to send me one instead of just warning me all of the sudden.

I'm not sticking around. Even if I do change my mind in the morning, I know after all that I've done, I'm probably going to be in some trouble. I'd rather just go on with my life, and not have to go through **** with my account and **** on here.

Also, when you say a third warning isn't the end of the world, sure, it isn't. Could be worse for sure. But you see, it's not the fact that it's 3 warnings, it's than the second and third are completely *******. The third isn't that bad of a ******* one, but the second one is. I mean seriously.

I'll just lurk around awhile until I get tired. Then I'm gone.

Thanks for the wishes, Kulla, I give the same to you. This argument has been a good one, and it was also very civil. Kudos.

At Chief's post:

I know, the thing with the signature is just to be completely stupid. I don't even know why I did it. Eh, can't be bothered to take it away now.

I don't mean anything against the mods, only against the decisions on the warnings.

At the part where you said you guys didn't ban Maiden, it's a tad bit like you guys were missing the point. He hates me. Always have, probably always will. I said something about the band his name copied and he has hated me since. If I come back, he's going to be at my throat again. He's gonna lurk every post I make, trying to go and find the tiniest flaw, or the one word that that gives you the smallest amount of offense. (As he has so far)

Maybe when you guys really straighten out the community, I'll return. Just bring back a place we can chill and joke and I'm sure we'll all be happy again. Put some crazy *** rule down so that if someone goes and flames someone in that area it's a day's ban or something. I just want a place where we can talk about anything, and not have to worry about being off-topic. Just bring the Sandbox back, and I'm sure everyone will be completely happy again.

I know you guys don't "hate" me, but I definitely know that some of you mods dislike me. There's no doubt in my mind.

Se you around, Chief. I might actually go and delete the sig. It makes me feel... uneasy.

Oh ok. XD I have to apologise as I never looked into the report/user notes myself.

I'd personally not have given you a warning for that as it looks to me like you were only trying to help out, though as usual it's best to go straight ahead and report. More importantly there was no hint of flaming to me and I think Iron Maiden simply got the wrong idea. There's my opinion out there and I'll leave it for others to ponder while I'm watching my Friday night comedies. :P

I've been using "Wicked Love" since I started listening to Insane Clown Posse. They have a saying, and there's Wicked Love in it, so I decided to use it.

Well guys, I'm getting tired. Good night. Time to leave for good. Burning my bridges, and I'll rebuild them every once and a while.

Interesting. Might as well write down my feeelings.

Not going to comment on the warning milarky cause I've not got the full story. Will say; as I've said many times in the past we need a proper system in place to remove warnings for long term good behavior for members that are generally well behaved. If there a known ****** don't bother removing there ones. But we've got 1-2 ****** and a lot more nicer members that get punished for a **** up and don't get rewarded for there years of good behavior and sticking around on the site. It'll be my fifth year on this site this dec and i guarentee i'll get banned eventually on the current system. It'll happen purely cause you have off days, you say/do stupid things once in awhile.

Anywhoo good bye, wont comment much on state of the community..certainly doesn't seem like the members are as close and united as before. I rather feel like I'm on the outside looking in most of the time don't know many users partly my fault i suppose, don't make much of an effort to get to know them..there again many of the users around my age are either inactive or have up and left. New generation has come in don't really feel i fit i suppose haven't for awhile.

ho hum..
Cya anyway, keep me added on xbl if you like.
