The position I'm going for is military intelligence so it's not like I'd be on the front line or anything. I always did say I'd never die for my country though, but I guess if I did it'd be preferable to some debilitating disease or growing old and senile. In all honesty the idea of serving my country does appeal to me. Although the main reason I'm joining up is because I really can't stand the idea of doing any other monotonous job for the next 40 years of my working life, the fact I'd get to travel the world for free and do something that's interesting and pays pretty well.
