Yeah the thing with the water would be pretty cool. It doesn't get cold enough here to do that though.

Great episode this week though. :) I would try and get on the next show but I don't have a mic. :(

Just realised i can put the file on my mp3.. since my soundcard is completely... umm... broken :D

Certainly beats listening to offspring. :P, it also makes slayer a lot mroe interesting..

"I want gold and I want wishes" <-- Haha thats brilliant :D

Rufus rant? That was stupid.. where do you get these rants from?

The overpowered/underpowered arguements are completely flawed, they are based on one players selfish desires to be stronger than the rest.

I'm pretty sure they get the rants from the official rs forums in the rant section.

herb Pronunciation (ûrb, hûrb)

o_o Just thought I'd post it.

Shane, has anyone ever told you that your voice sounds like the stereotypical 'geek' voice that cartoons may portray.

Also, I meant to say this a few weeks ago, but you never, ever, sense Pika's sarcasm, and it's really obvious too. He'll say something far-fethced and sarcastic and you'll go 'no, that doesn't sound right', or something like that.

o_o Okay, I'm done now.

Great show, either way. Heh.

News update on RS, March 31, 2004 (RS Launched)

Here's what they said was coming up in RS2, and surprisingly, a few things on this list are fairly new.

Jagex wrote:
# A viking style area, including a new quest and town.
# A large 'frozen lands' area including penguins, mammoths, polar bears and more.
# A pyramid quest in the desert full of traps, treasure and mummys .
# A barrows of the undead area to explore and find new equipment.
# Some good training areas designed for rangers.

So, the viking style area is complete, and so is the pyramid (desert treasure), and barrows, and I suppose ranging areas, but what about the frozen lands?

Jagex wrote:
New features & skills
# Treasure hunt mini-game with a variety of rewards, including some new rare items.
# Summoning spells - summon skeletons, demons, etc...!
# A quest journal for you to read and recap what point you are up to in each quest. No more coming back to a quest after a break, and wondering what you are supposed to do next.
# More random events, to give more variety, and lots of chances to win unexpected rewards.
# More pets and followers with different properties and abilities.
# Special organised game events on holidays.
# Many new monsters such as Orcs, Lizardmen and more.
# In game versions of our boardgames such as chess and draughts.

And are also planning on adding even bigger features, that really take advantage of our new engines abilities, such as:

Player owned houses - Each player will be able to have their own unique house. Use the new carpentry skill to make new/rare things for your house. Using the farming skill to grow herbs and plants in the grounds of your house. Build your own private party areas and shop areas, and more!

Clan support, to allow you to optionally form your own clans with your friends.

Mutiplayer castle arena for massive team based wars!

Randomly generated scenarios, where a new adventure is generated for you and your friends each time you go on it. Form an adventuring party and go on your own personal quest.

So, summoning spells, holiday games (which is sounds like is gonna hapeen this year), PoH (but if you read that update, farming was planned from the start, so I dunno why people were upset over it), and the randomly generated scenarios, still need to come out.

-----

I personally really liked the rat catchers quest itself... the idea of rat catchers is kinda stupid, but they were only trying to add things for your cats to do, because otherwise they are useless.[/quote]

I'm not the only one that listens to RsbandbUpdate while doing Slayer?!

And certainly another great episode, also nice to see Pika back on.
