(SOTW Entries: Week 156 - Ends 6th June)

I'd like to know what you all think of the themed weeks. As I don't think they're going so well at the moment, I'd like to take things back to how they used to be: rather than every odd week being themed, just have a theme once every, say, four weeks? This will be done due to the blatantly obvious lack of participation in themed weeks, as from what I can tell, you enjoy entering the normal weeks more.

Secondly, I would like to see the signature size limit increased. While I've not discussed this with any other judges yet, I will have them vote in the poll and also get their opinions - I want this to be a combined decision. This has been considered in the past, but I think it needs to be considered again. Nowadays, with larger monitors and widescreen becoming the norm, I think to maintain a size limit of 450x150 would be impractical. Previously, I am assuming that the introduction of the size limit was only done in order to prevent the, uhh, amateurish entries, as it was considered that no good sig would possibly be anywhere near those bounds - in fact, the smaller, the better! Presently, I am aware that we have some amazing signature artists who can take any size and use it to their advantages, and in some cases, larger sizes that are outside the current boundaries are more effective. For this reasoning, I propose that the maximum signature size be increased from the current 450x150 to 600x300, to coincide with the maximum signature size limit on the forums. By no means would one be required to enter a signature even near this size, but should one want to, they would be able to.

Please post any responses in the SOTW Comments Thread, vote in this poll, and post only your entries in this thread.

The size limit has not yet been increased. For now it is still the usual 450x150.

Back to this week - we'll be having another normal week, with no animation.

I can understand where you're going with this, but size limits are fine.

You say that and yet your sig is the maximum size allowable currently. :P Wouldn't it be nice to at least have some leeway? The way I see it, so many signatures have unfairly had to be disqualified because they've been just a couple of pixels over the limit, while it would still be perfectly allowable to use as a sig in your forum signature at that size and even much bigger. -Chief

For the theme for every four weeks, no. I like them every other week which you normally do if your on schedule. I think some of the themes are a little limited because some of us (such as I) don't play stuff like Halo, GTA, CoD, or whatever that is this gen. So my answer to the theme is no.

For the signature limit size, definiately yes. I've gotten out about 3 times because I didn't notice my flaw in a few pixels off. I have one of the old monitors, but I will be getting a 22" widescreen late in June.

As for the entries, I will be confused on if we can send in 600x300 size, so I'll send in the original limit.
