Judges' Thoughts:

Holding this sig back is the plain, black background, as it gives it an unfinished appearance. Otherwise, the drawing and shading is excellent.

We like the experimentation of the effects, but in this case, it just makes the signature look messy and disorganised. If you could possibly incorporate a render with some of those background effects I think it would look much better.

A good job incorporating some renders, however, this signature needs some kind of background and a colour scheme to offset the conflicting colors of the renders. And a general rule: never use a lens flare in a signature.

Interesting background, however the red shirt of the render stands out from the rest of the black and silver colour scheme. Either adding some color to the background or the text could fix this.

A smaller border and lowered brightness would make this sig much more effective! The starry, stream-like brushing goes very well with the chosen render.

Mixed opinions from the judges - personally I think this signature is lacking in general, as it looks empty and like there has been little effort put into it. Right now, the border looks very bright compared to the rest of the sig, but it might still work if it wasn't one solid colour. Otherwise, the render blends well with the C4D and the colour scheme is spot on, just retouch the sharpness of the render on the left of the sig.

Lovely background, but Master Chief seems to not fit with his graphite coloured suit. On the other hand, he is blended in well, so finally only the text needs altering. I would rethink the positioning and make it a lot smaller, then add some simple effects whilst allowing it to stand out, but keep with the colour scheme and blend in at the same time.

Once again, the circles may look original, but they're dragging away attention from where it should be focused on the sig. The blending of the render and the background effects are perfect, but this is rather over-contrasted for the judges' likings.
