OK, been putting away a little bit of my pay checks towards this project. Project: Holy Cr*p decent frame rate! I am trying to keep the price UNDER 900$. I am really looking for recommendations on things such as screens, PSU's, and if there is any place I can cut back. I currently use a 7850 for my graphics card and have no problems playing most games at highest settings at 1920x1080 resolution. The games I have problems with are ones that are more CPU bound because my processor is a few years old. I've never played GW2, but if you are aware of how AMD numbers their cards, on the benchmark you linked, the 7850 would most likely come in just below the 6870. Your CPU choice is good, the only reason to upgrade to i7s right now for gaming is if you are using Crossfire/SLI with multiple cards. I don't see any RAM on your list? If you were to add any money to your build, it should be in upgrading to a better graphics card, but the 7850 is a good card. |

GW2 is more CPU-based than GPU-based. I can get 60fps maxed out on my i5 3570k and 7970 setup, I'm sure you can easily get the same too. |

Hyper 212 Evo - Much better cooling for not much more money Corsair Builder CX 430 Watt - Should be sufficient as long as you don't plan on running crossfire in the future |

I don't know. 400 watts was probably cutting it a bit close but you could go for a 500 watt PSU to be extra safe. Not sure how much power will be drawn when overclocking. (Unless you don't plan on it) |
