| Post subject: | Bandwidth use for RS? |
Well it seems I'm getting back into RS, but I'm at college with a 12 GB bandwidth limit per week (a lot of which is used up for Skype), so I was wondering how much bandwidth RS takes up per hour. I don't know if the graphics level makes a difference but I'm planning to run on low graphics. Could I safely play for maybe 5-6 hours per week with 2-4 gigs of bandwidth? Thanks! |

I've been dunging since I woke up:  EDIT: Whoops, I must've cropped the column titles out. First column is Time Second column is Date Third is Downloaded Fourth is Uploaded Fifth is Both Directions' Traffic Sixth is Average Download Seventh is Average Upload ...not bad if an important RS event comes up while I'm in class. Just tether n' play. |

Open the RS console and key in "displayfps". The bandwidth monitor rarely goes above 1kB/s. Nothing much to worry about. |

If you are into FPS games you could safely play those also, they use very little bandwidth just like rs. |

I monitored it once, and it is an incredibly low number. I was running on a 30 kB/s connection at the time, and it was using less than 1 kB/s most of the time for RuneScape. |
