Pretty sure I've asked this before, but I'll ask again. I'm looking to get a new headset and so far, it seems like they all of them can have problems. So far, I've heard that Razer and Turtlebeach have some really excellent PC gaming headsets. I've heard Logitech is good as well (as long as they aren't the cheap ones). Anyways, I need recommendations. I'm looking to spend less than $100 overall, but ideally less than $50 (ya, I have the money for more, but there has to be great headsets that are worth less than $250). Here's one I'm looking at now. Razer - Carcharias Gaming Headset I'd really like something that (in no particular order): -is comfortable on the ears. -good sound quality. -has a good mic. -is durable (can last longer than a year or two). -is cheap. |

I have Turtle Beaches for my XBox and I must say that the sound quality is excellent. I'm not too sure about the PC models though. I also have some Razer stuff and I've heard good things about the headsets. |

Ive got a set of the logitech pro's. The reviews on them were terrible but I took a gamble and they turned out great. I've heard they are a tiny bit... On the easily breakable side but I've tripped on the cores several times (before I re-routed it behind computer) and nothing happened so id say if you are careful with your stuff then they would be great. Price: 40-60 depending where you live |

This is the one I currently use: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-H ... Black/dp/B002I3OZB2/ I've had it for almost a year now and I use it daily for a few hours at least. The sound quality is quite good, and the bass it can do is surprising for a two speaker headset. The microphone is also good; people tell me they can't hear any background noise or my clicking/typing when I talk to them. This was my first behind-the-head headset, but I find it much more comfortable than the over-the-head ones because my ears would get really warm with the large amount of fabric they use on the over ones to keep the earpieces on your ears. |

I like the look of yours, Mike. I think I'll try those out. The earmuff ones bother me a little too and I think this would be a nice change. Another thing that bothers me about the earmuff ones is that I get the hair on the top of my head pushed down from the headset. I should like these much better for being behind the back of the head. I'll let you know what I think of them. Thanks for the help, guys. |

Those are just spendy. I mean, I'm sure they are very good, but I don't think a good headset should ever be worth more than $100. As long as it's durable, that's really I'll I care about, and seeing as how some of these things break or wear out in less than a year, I'd rather save the money and buy another decent headset after a year rather than spend the money and have a "great headset" break on me. |

Dang it mike lol where were you when Shane was telling me about the clearchats lol. Oh well... I know where I'll go if these break down. I love these still but the ones you have would be more my style. Kinda wish the clearchats were behind the head but they're molded to where it wouldn't feel right. Spent 50$ on them so they better last 2 years atleast ![]() |

Im using Fatality pro MkII gaming headset. Ear cups are nice and soft. And if you use the 5.1 surround sound option in Counterstrike...ITS GOOD ![]() And it's currently (at time i posted link) under 100 http://us.store.creative.com/Creative-Fatal1ty-Professional-Series-Gaming-Headset/M/B002BH3JDA.htm Thats the more expensive option. There are three different headset types. The cheapest is 49.99. Heres a link to all of creative's gaming headsets. Good luck. http://us.creative.com/products/welcomenew.asp?category=437#subcat865 Cheers, dafin0 ![]() |
